@Huzuruth Hence, why I called the implementation of it by Hamilton "half-assed" in The Reach Vampire thread. God forbid anyone hold a pale candle to Mages, but in general, the lack of work that went into it before it was implemented (over the objections of several Crone/Sanctified players when it was pitched to them, IIRC) was eyeroll-worthy. I honestly believe Hamilton decided to implement it on a whim, with zero thought as to the consequences.

RE: Blood Sorcery
Copy/pasted from my +job to Hamilton (+job 68 in the system as of today):
I'm going partially off of the ritual descriptions given, and partially from what I've read from the Blood Sorcery book, plus a peek at the ritual conversions on the wiki itself. These Cruac rituals are all in the Circle of the Crone book, pp. 204-211. Hopefully this will help.
Fires of Inspiration: Creation 1, Divination 1 (gives bonus to Crafts equal to Creation theme rating)
Visage of the Crone: Creation 1, Transmutation 1Path of Thorns: Creation 1, Destruction 2 (+2 successes to duration to last for one scene)
Soul's Work: Creation 2, Transmutation 2
Wisdom of the Soul: Creation 2, Divination 2Beloved Deodand: Transmutation 3 (as Biting Blade, but works with any weapon that was used to kill another)
Rain: Creation 3
Taste of Destiny: Divination 3
Tiamat's Offspring: Creation 3Eye of the Norn: Divination 4
Mask of Blood: Transmutation 4A Child From the Stones: Creation 4, Transmutation 5 (to create gargoyle), Destruction 4, Transmutation 5 (to destroy another gargoyle created by this ritual)
As One: Creation 5, Destruction 5, Divination 3, Protection 3, Transmutation 3
Crone's Renewal: Transmutation 5 -
RE: Blood Sorcery
@ThatOneDude It is, yes -- I referred to that extensively when I submitted my conversions for many of the CotC Cruac rituals nearly two months ago. At TR, there's several submitted custom rituals and the like (many of which are Theban-oriented, since I'm pretty sure Vinder was the one who wrote them up and compiled them), but the conversions are desperately needed there.
As for Threnodies -- I just wasn't impressed at all by them. I think White Wolf should have done conversions for the Cruac/Theban rituals in other books and left Threnodies out completely, but that's just me.
-
RE: Blood Sorcery
Threnodies suck IMO, but YMMV.
At least, in looking over them, not one of them seemed appealing (at least to me), and the sacrifice cost to use them seemed prohibitively high, so that's just me.
As for the rituals themselves... the biggest problem with Blood Sorcery is that the only converted rituals are the ones from the original core book: Pangs of Proserpina/Rigor Mortis/Touch of the Morrigan, etc. for Cruac, and Vitae Reliquary/Liar's Plague/Transmutation, etc. for Theban Sorcery. Admittedly, several Theban rituals (and some custom ones, I think of lot of which were courtesy of Vinder) were added, but Cruac doesn't have a lot of that at all in comparison. So, effectively one would have to go through all the books, read over the ritual effects, and figure out the best way to recreate it via BS Themes and the like. THAT is where a lot of the work is going to have to come in.

RE: Scissors' Playlist (cuz me too)
@tragedyjones Poison was around during your Marty days -- I'm pretty sure she froze before Marty killed NPC-Dorian.

RE: Scissors' Playlist (cuz me too)
POISON! I've been wondering where you might have gotten to. I still regret we didn't get things going with our planned Kross/Roth alliance back when I was playing Shyla.

Haunted Memories: Wagner
The only staffer besides Troy (I can't remember her HM staff name) who I was prepared to gracefully accept a "you broke this oath" from.
Would negotiate with again. A+
Reverie (which was also her WORA moniker, IIRC).

RE: Arkandel's Playlist
@Cobaltasaurus We frequently do, though, don't we?

RE: Miss Demeanor's Playlist
@Ganymede Wait... your PC had a hat she wore when she was fucking?
I should probably run very, very fast right now, but I think Gany's gonna get me for that one no matter how far or fast I do run.

RE: Miss Demeanor's Playlist
I remember Asia and Koko from my Neve days @ HM, and I want to think I remember Sera from Vampire @ TR, when I was Viveca mostly. Had no idea Ramona was you, though.

RE: Arkandel's Playlist
@Corruption So, what spheres are there, out of curiosity? Everything but Vampire, pretty much, or are other spheres also nixed?
-
RE: Ghoulage on Kingsmouth
@Cobaltasaurus Heh. My issue is the fact that they're using Damnation City. Honestly, I thought that book was a total waste of time, hated what little I read of it before deciding not to bother any further.

RE: RL peeves! >< @$!#
My peeve: older ladies who feel the need to bathe in their perfume. I work retail, and had two customers tonight who nearly gagged me out because of how powerful their perfume was.

RE: Twinking in RP MU*
@Darinelle Amen.
More often than not, I've found that I've never been THE STAR for anything -- the sole exception was a PrP that Vinz@HM ran for Luna, where she not only discovered that her Sire was still alive (or undead, rather) and kicking, but also discovered her Khaibit bloodline and heritage. And then, there wasn't really any choice because it was just Vinz as the ST, and me playing Luna.
I've tried to do things before -- heck, Luna was trying to set up a new form of government to replace the Consulate because so many people were arguing about it. I could have made a move for a Consulate seat, but instead tried ICly to put together the foundation for a government that (in Luna's mind) might conceivably function better than the Consulate did, if only so that any elections didn't take a month or more of OOC time to hash out. But Elsa beat Luna to the draw... and we all know how that turned out.
This isn't to say that I would have done any better, and I know people would have been pitching a fit if Luna actually had managed to pull it off (or taken one of the Consulate seats) -- mostly because I was staff at the time. However, I was already planning to depart from staff to focus more on Luna and being IC, if that situation were to arise. It didn't. It is what it is.

darksabrz's Playlist
Well, since I've pretty much outed most of my recent alts, let me just go ahead and list them so people can see. (Edit: And since it's been something like 2+ years since I originally wrote this, I suppose I should update it too).
Haunted Memories -- Athena (Acanthus Guardian of the Veil), Billie (Ithaeur Blood Talon), Kazerabet (Moros Mysterium), Lilith (VampStaff Admin/aTL/TL at various points), Luna (Khaibit Mekhet OD Mysterysworn), Neve (Autumn Darkling Razorhand/Snowskin dual-kith), Viveca (Dead Wolf Gangrel OD Unsworn)
St. Petersburg -- Elexis (Spina Daeva Lancea Sanctum Inquisitor/Primogen), had another one that was based on Therese/Jeanette Voerman from VTM: Bloodlines for the OD, but can't remember their names for the life of me)
The Reach -- Alyssa Grennich (Bastet Heart-Ripper -- mountain lion), Callista Kross (Gorgon Ventrue Acolyte), Cassandra Gordon (Lynx Mekhet Invictus), Dulcinea Sangiovanni (Sangiovanni Mekhet Sanctified Inquisitor -- only lasted about 6 weeks and never played her), Ginger (Zelani Daeva Carthian Prefect/Primogen), Raven Roth (Winter Darkling Palewraith/Chirurgeon dual-kith), Shyla Roth (Amara Havana Daeva OD Mysterysworn), Viveca Roth (Amara Havana Daeva OD Mysterysworn)
Reno -- Charley (Dead Wolf Gangrel Acolyte), Poker (Vampire admin)
Fear and Loathing -- formerly Kala (Amara Havana Daeva Carthian); currently Charley (Dead Wolf Gangrel OD Mysterysworn-in-the-making)
Fallcoast -- formerly Billie (Dead Wolf Gangrel OD Unsworn/Gangrel Priscus); currently Anastassia (Yagnatia Nosferatu OD Mysterysworn-in-the-making, among other things currently in the works), Corinne (Silent Celebrant Sin-Eater -- yes, I'm finally branching out again)
There are craploads of superhero/superheroine characters from before that, as well as a fair bit of Transformers and some Star Wars as well, but this is certainly long enough. If people are really interested in knowing, those places include:
Superhero: formerly Project Infinity (though I typically try to forget I played there), MetaMUX, Heroes and Villains MUX (both the original and the reboot attempt), SuperMUX/Millennium Heroes MUX, Brave and the Bold
Star Wars: formerly A New Threat (another place I try to forget), Unsung Heroes; currently Rebirth
Transformers: formerly TF2 (Legends of the Transformers), Beast Wars: Transmetals, Beast Wars: Shadow World (yet another place I try to forget, more often than not); currently Transformers Universe (TFU), Transformers 2005 (was a former, but they're giving the place one last shot before deciding to close it down, and I'm tinkering with a couple of prospects there)

RE: Book suggestions
I would be remiss if I didn't suggest David and Leigh Eddings: I've only read the Belgariad and Mallorean cycles, as well as Belgarath the Sorceror, Polgara the Sorceress, the Rivan Codex (which is actually a fair bit of Eddings' preliminary notes for the Belgariad and Mallorean, so might be interesting if you're a writer), The Redemption of Althalus (completely separate, but interesting in it's own right). I don't think Regina's Song (also by Eddings) qualifies as fantasy, per se, but it's also a fun read -- at least, I thought so.
Of course, Papa Tolkien is also good for the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy, too.

RE: Dragon Age: Inquisition
I need to start playing this -- but Skyrim actually managed to suck me back in, and so I'm playing it for the first time in several months. I blame Destiny for eating so much of my gaming time the last... nearly four months now.
