I don't have a problem with Conditions, I just... don't tend to remember or think of them in the moment. If someone said to me, "Should I get a condition for that?" I'd prolly go look it up and agree, no problem.

I'm considering trying to start up a session of some sort at a local seniors community center. "Structured Improv Acting" (read: gaming). The system would need to be fairly simple and more than that, easy to learn/use for folks who're new to the concept, whether or not I call it that out loud. Any suggestions? Indie or big name, doesn't matter to me.

I just caught up on Akatsuki no Yona (Yona of the Dawn) and it is awesome. Enough-so that I was tempted to actually read the manga despite my hurty eyes for comics. The princess is a bit "oh save me" at first, but once she pulls on her big girl panties and takes care of her bid'ness, that doesn't happen much anymore. Everyone is snarky in the party and it's terribly funny.

I don't care about the numbers, but I am curious about the stance. How many folks download these books and say to themselves: "I am stealing a book, period, full-stop."? Is there open acknowledgement of theft, or is it handwaved and mentally shrugged off as Not That Big A Deal? I steal books too, so I'm not here to be judgey. I'm just curious if... not whether there's a sense of right/wrong, but rather if it's a question that even comes up anymore.

I believe that you're capable of not acting like a 13 year old hopped up on Twizzlers and Mountain Dew and internet anonymity. I'd certainly appreciate it if you didn't.

Ugh. Insulin Pump Guy. Stop talking to me like I'm an idiot. If I ask what the price for infusion sets and sensors will be in 2016 when my deductible resets, don't try to tell me it's not important. They're just as creepy in animation, @The-Tree-of-Woe . I liked it some (not all, I found myself uninterested in Our Hero's Journey) but if the titans themselves turn you off, then don't rush for it.

There's a spot for vitriol if that's your schtick, but it's not the main focus, yeah? I think it's important to remember the difference, is all. Nothing wrong with it now and then, so long as it isn't the whole. Plus most of us have been doing this long enough that we can pretend to be grown-ups for whole minutes at a time. The Sparrow - Jesuits go to space and meet the aliens while everyone else on Earth is still dicking around. Has triggery stuff. Good for looking at communication and how it fails.

Daughter of the Blood - Book 1 of a series. High fantasy, tetch of romance, mostly about a girl with too much power trying to reach the point where she can use it to save her peoples.

I don't see the need to differentiate. On Shadow War, @Glitch and I will just have plot, whether it's instigated by players or staff. If someone blows up a block in a plot, I expect them to tell me about it so I can help adjudicate the wider ripples such an action would cause. But it still happened. Deciding that PrPs have no lasting effect removes the impact of that story on all involved, and lessens the ownership-investment of your players.
