Lets be honest. I think this can be the tag line for 99% of MUSH involvements.

Someone needs to learn tact.
Whats insane to me is that there was no plan for this trilogy and the plan for the third movie is only now being formulated. (I believe I read that JJ Abrams made his third movie pitch last week?)
I get it. The original Star Wars Trilogy wasn't completely planned. A New Hope was filmed and shot so that if it wasn't well received it could stand on its own.
Star Wars is now a 6-7 Billion dollar franchise and they are just... fucking... winging it?
I guess if you just pump a few million dollars into marketing and buying off reviewers, it doesn't matter what crap you make.

I almost want a thread of just the opening inspiration for a MU*, funny or serious.
After the 48 hour bender from the night before, the tired lawyer awoke from his coke and semen covered coma. The groupie from across the country that played his IC sister snored loudly next to him, her foot dipped into one of the twelve cat food bowls that surrounded the bed. His brow furrowed as he didn't remember having any cats but then Tony the Pyrofox laughed out manically as the thirty fifth marathon of the new My Little Ponies Transformers Cross Over Series played over Cartoon Network, reminding him of why he needed the cat food.
He snugged his latest conquest gently, placing a cat bowl on her head as he got out of bed and headed to his PC. On his phone he checked when his next Krav Maga lesson would be and decided if he wanted Pizza Hut or Dominos. He decided on Dominos as he knew the Vampire OOC channel liked Dominos. Logging on to his favorite MUSH of the month he gasped when he saw the foreboding text splash cross the screen of black, white, and neon-cyan. "You have been site banned."
"B-but my request for my Dragon was suppose to be finished today... DAMNIT' I"LL MAKE MY OWN MU*! After... I finish looking at my high school gym class yearbook."
What is the monthly quota on maving explicit and graphic TS scenes to random people "accidently"?
I also watched Bright past night. I enjoyed it and would happily watch a sequel.
Can we get some sex code? I need to know how effective my gunderflaghzebshurzsrafflefichsticken is at spreading the genes of the master race.

Malazan Book of the Fallen.
I need to read that damn series. If only I can get through book 1.
Get through Book 1. I know its hard. I know. Its a very oddly written book. It leaves you with so many questions. For the first 200 pages I was just like "What the flying fuck is happening. Who is that? What the fuck do they want? Whos good? Whos bad?"
Towards the end it slowly starts to come together. Slowly. Action explodes, it becomes awesome. Book two is a god damn fantasy classic in my mind. It gets better after Book 1, so much better. After reading up to book 7 it was obvious to me that Steven Erikson imagined a true epic. He built an entire world, down to the ruins in the soil. And it takes more then 1 book to get it out. But god damn is it worth it.
Excel is good. Excel is life.
Seriously Excel skills should be taught in school. Same with learning how to do your taxes...
I've been playing for about two months or so. Picked a character randomly that I liked the general premise of and the name. Once I got in took a peek at their secrets and it was pretty cool. Nothing like "YOU ARE ACTUALLY A BASTARD NOBLE OR SON OF A GOD." But certainly a lot there.
I knew I would love it here when in my first GM scene that I just walked into, without any prompting from myself, the GM paged me some pretty pertinent information that only my character would know and really shaped the direction of my RP.
Clearly I need to get off my ass and make that Witcher game if Fantasy is so in demand.
On the topic of clue bloat and newbies being able to catch up as the game progresses. Since the game is broken up into chapters, it might help that at the end of a chapter or season, Staff curates a list of clues that all characters (new and current) will be given access to, especially if the events of the chapter are well known and the conclusion of the chapter disseminates a lot of information through the world. Some of the clues will likely be incomplete, but might point towards players who do know more which could then generate RP but not a type of RP where someone goes "Have you been under a rock for the past year!?"

@auspice IKR? 150 minutes is no joke. Like, at least have an intermission or something.
Have not seen Last Jedi, but god dammit yes intermissions need to be brought back to movies that are over two hours let me stretch my legs and grab another soda with out missing anything you bastards.
Hell the theatre I go to have refills of soda but WTF is the point of that if I can't get a refill without missing the movie.
I loved when the Hateful Eight did an old style Intermission.
So with the spheres having caps and such, what room is there for mortals and mortal+? Are there any "factions" exlusive/catered to them to join and work around/in?
So probably be better to set it in some kind of city hub such as Novigrad or Vizima. Or perhaps Kovir so that Mages could have a nice focus. Somewhere where seeing people from different parts of the world (or worlds...) won't be too odd and will be acceptable.
Of course that Skellige Raider is having a drink with the Zerrakanian Horse Racer while a Witcher starts a brawl with a Nilfgaardian officer for not paying up on a contract to hunt down a Forktail.

I haven't seen the Last Jedi yet but there is this:
Some are claiming its just trolls, but I usually find the audience score to be the more accurate reflection of what I'll think of a movie. 56% seems to confirm the feeling of "flat".
The user reviews that are just flat out 1s seem to come down to two camps:
- people who are mad that there aren't more white dudes in the central cast
- people who are mad it wasn't a remake of Empire
Actually needed more old black man.
Having seen people before who either avoid debate or taint a debate because they believe they have the one and only answer, Jeshin does not seem the type after a brief glance over this thread...
Having played more Shadowrun: Hong Kong, I need a SR MUSH in my life. MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Also if you need any help with grunt work (descriptions and stuff) let me know and I can pitch in some time.

David and I watched Bright as well. I thought it was great, and critics are maybe being a little jaded about it.
Jaded with a mix of Netflix hate I think.
And here I was hoping for an Aldous Huxley based game!
