it's just another pain in the ass when you have a global purchase agreement that is ten pages long with attached schedules ranging from 2-4 pages, of which there are 15.
Stop. Tracking. Fucking. Changes.
Just stop. Everyone, stop. And read your shit. I have to re-format this motherfucking deal every time you fucking touch it you shitbags and it is a waste of my time because I can read and do not need you to point out what you changed, you garbagefuckers.

@Joyeuse said in MU*, Youth, and LGBT+ Identity:
There's the occasional exceptional roleplayer who is in the know and is down to incorporate such themes into personal roleplay as a means of personal growth or development - or at least the development of the relationship. And, finally, there's the TS hounds I've mentioned earlier, most of whom are straight/bi men who like to play with the idea of (forgive me for even using this phrase) 'traps not being gay'. Either in a romantic context, where constant reference is made to certain 'tells' of transness, or in others, where emphasis is placed on that blurring of orientation.
I'm not personally comfortable with playing a trans-character. I feel that I will fall into a number of the stereotypes, and I don't want to do that. I have played several queer characters, and have interacted with intersexed and transgender PCs, but that's about it.
Play what you want and are comfortable with, I figure. Hopefully, that comfort level includes playing a character that has more than one or two layers, but to each their own.

Theory 1
People are uncertain what to do and want someone else to guide them.
Theory 2
People are scared of looking like they're too eager or greedy for the spotlight.
I think I fall under Theory 2, but I have made it a habit to always offer to open. I also roll with the general etiquette rule that the first to suggest a scene is the host, and the host can make the choice to set or allow someone else to do so.
The solution? Be more pro-active by just asking upon entry: does anyone here want to set? For my part, I realize that I have very little social anxiety online or otherwise, so I am always happy to try and think of a way to start things.
Be the change that you want to see.

It's probably cheaper to see the Oilers in Glendale than Edmonton. God knows Leafs and Habs fans are milking the out of town discount, too.
This is why I love living an hour from Columbus, which has one of the sports' best arenas.

That scene was and still is fucking heartwrenching. You passed your Turing Test, lawbot.
I think you can easily do it by limiting concepts to the oppressed side.
I envy you all for having these sorts of stories.
I guess I don’t have any because I stopped caring how many times people have caught me naked or fucking in public.
I mean, it happens.
@The-Sands said in Star vs Ensemble Cast - Why Theme is Vital:
If we can't manage that it makes the conversation super fragmented because when @Ganymede talks about Theme I have to dig through posts to figure out what @Ganymede's definition means. Even worse, when @Ganymede gets into an argument with @Auspice about Theme it will almost always turn into a complete mess because they aren't even talking about the same thing.
I'm willing to use Sunny's definitions, and am intelligent enough to figure out what definition Auspice is using. And I believe both are pretty close to my own definitions:
Theme: The mood. Optimistic? Grimdarque? Edgelordish? That sort of thing.
System: The game system, like CoD, FS3, or D&D.
Setting: The world. Where you at.
Story: The history of the setting.
Genre: The kind of stories that best fit the story and setting..

There's little point in discussing a solution to a problem that people don't want to tackle, which is why I'm currently in "pointing out the problem" mode and not "HERE'S WHAT WE DO" mode.
The topic at hand is how to bring new players into the hobby.
If I did not want to discuss it, I simply would not. But I have seen nothing to discuss; all of the problems identified have been identified several times before.
Many solutions have been previously posited, but few have been implemented. I have neither the time nor the inclination to do anything but act at this point. If you want to continue to merely point out the problems, by all means; I have nothing to add or criticize.
Thenomain sums everything up well. These suggestions have been made before.
We should get past "HERE'S WHAT WE DO" mode, and get into "DO" mode.

My new pic is the logo for the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
I mean, like, that's super-good-advertising, maaaaaan.
These are good suggestions, all of which I intend to use if I can finally get all of my fucking theme and setting files done without being brain-jacked.

Maybe Kessel is tired because they're making him run a lot.
He has 4 even-strength goals, man.
That's insane. He's scored 70, 92, and 82 points the past 3 years. He's on pace for around 50.
That's a huge drop, even for a player getting into his mid-30s.
@Ghost said in Getting Young Blood Into MU*'ing:
I'll write 'fuck' less in them for you.
This is a bug, not a feature.
