@arkandel What a weird argument for someone to make.

RE: The Dog Thread
@cobalt I demand updates on when she starts to talk.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@tnp I don't have 45 minutes to watch this at the moment, but I am curious. Is this video about staying silent when questioned, or about not reporting to cops, or both?

RE: Random funny
@arkandel I kinda liked Castlevania's answer: vampire vision is different from humans so all those right angles mess with the vampire brain.

@cobalt You snooze,* you lose.

RE: Good TV
Without TOS there would be no Star Trek.
But without Dracula, there would be no Twilight. Just saying.

RE: Good TV
@coin It felt a bit dishonest of me to go there since I actually kinda like Voyager and Star Trek V; but I know most people are deeply contemptuous of them.

RE: Good TV
@derp The complaints I've heard include the lack of continuity between episodes after the show drops the Kazon/Seska plot, a mostly boring crew whose members never get to significantly grow or evolve due to the episodic nature of the series yet still somehow manage to occasionally be inconsistent, Neelix being a straight up predator, doing little to nothing with the premise of being cut off from Starfleet, overusing the Borg until the Borg cease to present a credible threat to anyone, a pretty hateful representation of B'Elanna Torres, and the naked* pandering in Seven of Nine's costume design.
I agree with all of those complaints to one degree or another, but despite that, I find most of the show watchable. Just not the Neelix episodes, mostly.

RE: The Dog Thread
@cobalt Aw, her just barking, not talking. I can't wait for her to try to say words.

RE: RL Sads
@boneghazi That's a good strategy for processing your feelings, though.
I'm so sorry you're going through all this.

RE: Good TV
@ganymede I support you in your throat-punching. I'm not totally sure it's legal, but to find out, we'd need to ask a lawyercatbot or something, and hell if I know where you'd find one of those at this hour.

RE: Good TV
I get the "I don't like the art style" argument. Like, I want to watch the new He-Man cartoon just to piss off the chuds who are complaining that the show is RUINED FOREVER because He-Man (more like "She's The Man," amirite?) sold out to Hollywoke, but ugh, it's so hard for me to look at those promo clips and not see that commercial of the two dudes in the muscle suits dancing together in a bar.
Young Justice Season 4 is coming out October 21.
I'll be damned.

@il-volpe Sounds like someone had a quota to meet.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
Dear doctor's offices, please update your information on Google so I can quit calling fax numbers thinking they're phone numbers. Fucking hell.

Do they not know how hard it is for a woman to get taken seriously by a doctor?
I wonder if that's why I don't bother going to the doctor.

My vaguely related peeve is, I will never, ever stop thinking Wellbutrin is the generic form of Coumadin even though I should know better by now.

I clocked out and left. And tbh I don't know if I still have a job or not, but I'm sitting in my car shaking. Pissed.
I'm not saying you should put yourself through the stress of any legal proceedings or anything like that, but if you did decide to mount a legal defense, it sounds like you have a case; especially if any of this is documented.
But regardless of my revenge fantasies against your manager, whom I would like to see terrible things happen to, I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that. I hope it gets resolved quickly and in a way that teaches your manager to respect employees.
