Yup, I get all that about sex and stuff. It's still a peeve of mine for a female in gaming to say "Tee Hee, I'm a girl, give me stuff or do it for me."

(I also like mayo, but to my dad Miracle Whip IS mayo, so I don't get it much. )

Also I think it's unfair to place the onus on someone who might just be friendly when it takes two (or more) to tango. Or to expect someone to turn away all help and gifts because A GIRL DON'T NEED NO MAN or whatever.

Yeah, I'm specifically talking about the "I'm a girl. Tee hee! I don't know how to play games. I need help! Give me things because I have boob!"

I give games to friends to, but I'm well aware that if my voice weren't nice I probably wouldn't have been given those games. But I never asked for them which is why it's different.

Female gamers who use being a girl to get things in games.

(This is more of a peeve than anything else, but we don't have a peeve thread any more.)

And yes, before anyone points out my hypocrisy, I don't feel there is any; Yes, I have been given games because I am a female gamer with a nice voice. But Those games have been streamed or recorded, or played with friends, but it was still always me playing all of the game, not having something handed to me.

When you bite your tongue or cheek, and then you keep biting it accidentally. You just can't help but play with it so it seems to take forever to get better.

No. I meant to say what I said. I am not likely suffering a stroke or aphasia, and do not suffer from malapropisms so there is no need to correct me.

One thing people have to remember too is if people are going by BMI's to judge if they are overweight or not? Not so long ago they lowered the numbers. Which means people who were sitting in the average and healthy weight zones, are now considered obese.

But still, it happened. There were a lot of people who were maybe a little overweight who are now obese. And that's just dumb.

I got to judge a bear. I'm happy.

(Also, if anyone wants to see the game and not play it doing the mages storyline, I stream it every Monday. Horrible player. I'm still near the start on my alt, and I switched over to the DLC when it came out, and my videos are long at about 2 hours each, but I do everything.)

The thing that really gets me about the "normal" bodies they put on the women is that they are unrealistic, for those women; tomb raiding, former marine, fighters these are all people who should be fit, and it would be completely unrealistic to be the "normal, better" bodies. Men don't get the same treatment in games. Why aren't people complaining how ripped they are? There should be more pot bellies on me in games!

MY other beef is the media saying women are too sexualizes in games for having the fitter figure - no, women are sexualized in games when they wear what amounts to a band-aid for a bra.

But you can't show too much, or it'll scandalize children... while they tear and shoot people's head's off.

Games aren't realistic, and they aren't meant to be. They're escapism.

And I'm saying this all as a not tiny woman: I don't want a "normal" female in games. It would break my immersion.

I generally go with the "You will think of 10 things the players will do, and they will come up with an eleventh you didn't think of." approach to storytelling.
