Losing a job is rough. But finding out you're losing your job only because your company closing down becomes a 2nd page article in the local newspaper - and the company itself has yet to say something to any of the employees - is a pretty shitty thing to do.

I was pretty bad with it when I quit. I think I was almost up to a 12 pack a day and just decided to go cold turkey. It was pretty rough.
@Misadventure I tried replacing soda with tea at first but it only lead to stronger soda cravings. So I swapped entirely to water, milk, and fruit juices. I'm only now dipping back into tea that I brew myself. I'm avoiding things like the premade Nestea or Lipton Iced Tea varieties, one of my gamer's brings this stuff to tabletop each Friday in a small case to share - and it may as well be soda.
As of Friday it will have been one year since I stopped drinking soda. It will have been about 6 months since the sudden surprise cravings stopped. I only get them very infrequently now and without the power behind them that they had at the start. This has contributed a lot to the benefits of my health regarding sleeping, energy activity, and weight loss.
I recommend this for everyone.
I want to toss this in here in the waning days of the Steam sale. If you like narrative story games, Life Is Strange is just 5 bucks for all 5 episodes. Worth picking up and the story is rather well done.

@Auspice Yeah the ease of use is what I wanted it for. I was going to get one for my brother for his wife, for Christmas, because her disability makes 'ease of use' tech devices best for her.

@Auspice Oh I did not even realize they had hit that high. I figured wait for the rush to die down and the initial stocks to be refilled at the box stores and get one. Of course it does not surprise me that Nintendo does not sell this through their website.
Nintendo NES Classic Edition, a MSRP for $60.00 and fucking re-sellers have blown the market so out of proportion on this thing now you can't find it for less than $300.00 and the places that would sell it for $60.00 are continually sold out. Sonovabitch.
I was able to meet Ron at a Con a few years ago and he was such a delightful and pleasant man, in my experience. There are many shows I remember growing up watching him in - my parents used to watch Barney Miller and I enjoyed Rhythm and Blues, and of course Firefly.

The game is definitely much more fulfilling if you go through the campaign after character gen. If you skip it, you do yourself a disservice.

I got a copy of Wasteland 1 free with the Wasteland 2 Director's Cut on Steam. I do not know if that will happen on GOG but given that GOG does old games, you might find it there.
Divinity Original Sin EE and Wasteland 2 Director's Cut are both really cheap on GOG right now too. Both are pretty great games if you enjoy Baldur's Gate style RPGs.
