Personally I am just waiting for Hairbrained Schemes BattleTech Game. I am lukewarm about MechWarrior 5 that Piranha is doing though, we'll have to see how the story goes with that one. Could be good.
Everything that Hairbrained Schemes is doing for their game looks fantastic. I've kickstarted high enough to get the dev blog and some fairly consistent updates. The game looks great and the gameplay looks great so far. No word on release yet but as of December the tentative hope was later this year.
Word around the MWO watercooler for Mechwarrior 5 is that it may be clan-based. Which gives me less enthusiasm for it. But from what I understand some of the dev brains behind MWO who helped develop the gameplay and visuals for the online game are going to be assisting with game development for 5. So while I am dubious about the story side of the game I have high hopes that the gameplay will definitely feel like a first person battletech game should and the mechs will look great on screen.
@Arkandel
It is rare that I find the first few episodes of a new series to be a hit for me right out the door. I have to usually give it 3 or 4 before I'll know if it is something I'll keep with.
I have finally gotten around to watching A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix. I think I like NPH as Count Olaf better than I did Carrey in the movie. But its Patrick Warburton who takes the show for me with his serious deadpan monologues during the episodes as Lemony Snickett.
I think they really hit it out of the park with the single player story for Titanfall 2.
Diluvion is an alright game. It's not a bad attempt at a rogue-like exploration game with some RPG aspects. The cartoon art aesthetics are really nice and the game play is simple and bolstered by a good story. At first I found it can be a bit jarring due to random events. If you've played Banner Saga, you would be familiar with the events that could kill off a character without warning or indication that may happen. The random events do this as well to crewmen - or can put you into a situation where you're going to lose your sub no matter what. But you do get to manage your crew and you can buy upgrades for your ship as the game goes on.
Now when I played I did not like how the combat was done but it could be because I was using KB/M and it might do better with a controller. I will say I played before they updated the game so the keybindings were able to be adjusted so I might have better luck with a new experience.
Lastly, I often do not play games with the music turned on - but I found the soundtrack and sound effects for this game was really good. It improved the game overall I felt rather than create a noise distraction for me.
For $20, I think the game is fairly priced, even better if you can get it on sale. Like it is right now.
I'm looking at picking up one from Helix Sleep, I know three people who have them and they act like they had mid life turnarounds because of them.
@Jaded
Mrf, I get that. I send you all the solidarity too. It's good to know I'm not the only person who has weird dreams like that. My one last night was about getting a job composing for symphonies and somehow my fiance breaking up with me and not speaking to me. Not sure why. I blame the buffalo chicken from dinner.
And so as not to double post. The one I have is about my dad dying. It is always about that. Sometimes I'm the one to find him. Sometimes I get a phone call. Sometimes it is at a hospital. I would like to blame food.
So that Stranger Things second season trailer...anyone else excited?
If anyone plays Banished and has not checked out the mod scene for it. Megamod 0.06 is just fantastic.
You have my sympathies. I have a reoccurring nightmare about my dad every couple months that gets so bad I have to call him, no matter the time, to make sure he's okay. So I can empathize with how you feel.
@Ganymede
I sautee the green peppers first so they maintain their crunch. At least they usually do. I've never had an issue with it.
@Kanye-Qwest
Yeah I never played GW1 . I got 2 because that's where my WoW guild moved when we left after Pandaria. I've never seen anything for pvp on GW2 just all of the seriously involved PVE things. I mean chasing dragons and world bosses can keep me busy for half a day - and then there's objective captures in the Western zones and the list goes on there's so much PVE to do.
ETA:
Now that I'm looking for it yeah I do see PVP and WVW stuff, I guess I just never gave it enough mind to let it really sink in there might be a thriving PVP community on GW2.

Mmm it depends on the server. Where are you guys based?
Actually, unless you're big into the PVP/WVW scene, server doesn't matter at all! ^_^
There's pvp in Guild Wars? I...I never knew this. I mean I know there was the competitive faux sports for holidays but not actual pvp.
So am I the only one who puts green pepper and Worcestershire sauce in their meatloaf?
Mmm it depends on the server. Where are you guys based?
I was playing GW2 pretty consistently but my original guild just up and disappeared. Then another guild I was in up and disappeared. Kind of discouraging.
But its a fun game. I might dig into it again since some new content is out.
Good actor. Not many leading roles but did great in the ones he had. I remember him back to Twin Peaks.
