If you say so. I've found that people's progressive attitudes toward my gender and sexuality directly correlate to how much they can fap to them, which I guess is better than a lot of reactions but is still pretty creepy.

I have relatives like that - I just say sister, nephew, and so on. You can call around anyhow - people give me info about my nephew most of the time - he is an addict and homeless so often we are looking for the next place he has ended up (currently in the hospital).

For all that I'm stressed and dreading possible outcomes here, I can only imagine it's far worse to have the definitive answer that yes, someone did pass away, and did so alone and without anyone there. My sympathies to both @JinShei and @mietze; I expect that is a really awful feeling.

For me, the worst bit was that I phoned him the week before and if there were signs, I missed them. I went over and over my notes and I still will never know. Coroner reassured me that there could have been no signs but... I also know he was able to out-stubborn me and would have stayed there anyhow so...

I wrote weeks worth of asynchronous material for one group, went to check on it, and none had done any. Apparently I didn't tell them to...

Whereas my other group is on it, doing all asynchronous and in person meetings. I got 20 emails from one girl on one day. They are keen and working their hearts out.

@mietze I'm really sorry. This happened with one of my patients and just knowing he was alone for those last minutes, and lived a life that was so alone that nobody knew for a week was ... very upsetting is an understatement but words are hard.

We're marking/grading. It's so dull.

@Grayson It was a full and happy one by the time it left the common. It found small squeaky things and took them off. Beautiful. The bird, not the DEATH of small squeaky things.

Oh, and here, have a virtual festival.. 3pm UK time tomorrow (Saturday)

Colleague bought me cake for being generally helpful to her. We sat ten foot apart in my garden and had tea. It was a delight. The cake was pretty good too...

Oh, and I watched a bird of prey today (sorry for the upright video, I didn't have time to think). I don't know what it was, but it was beautiful. And we have dinosaurs.

Can I offer a little Beautiful South? If only for this video.
