RE: Resource Scarcity System
Did you account for the idea that for a 12 hour day (sunset to sunrise) you used N amount for hunting, every day? When you throw in security f Haven, prep time, travel time, Vamps have a really low number of hours to do stuff.

RE: Fantasy MU*s?
Does the Off Screen System allow you to upgrade an areas economy, safety, stability, emergency services, quality of life, education etc? Be it a dystopic cyberpunk future or the Old West or the newly colonized island taken from the Fish-People, being able to upgrade the setting is something some folks like to do.

Hello Kitty also massages tired fingers, arms and shoulders.

RE: Getting Involved (and getting other people involved)
BTW if you have active ST type friends, and you realize they are veering into the crazy, you can always start to run more stuff with that group to try to lessen the power of the crazy. People can disagree with the CrayCray and still include them in RP, and still do scenes that make everyone feel special or whatever.
Take back some of that power by giving back to the group! Brain-aikido!

RE: Fantasy MU*s?
Oi, I forgot to mention that usually really changing things takes time and effort and isn't easy, and I would want such a system to reflect that. And make sure you don't have players able to bring in trillionaires and have that fix the problem.

Viewable notes at the location. Love em love em love em.
But I am the person who likes populating cafes and coffeeshops around my PCs.

RE: Stuff Done Right
If you log on and A) all active players are set Unfindable and B) Unfindable means never contact me through any mean then Guest should leave, there is no one there interested in playing with them.
I think for myself, that +hangouts is a better measure of activity. I can see how many folks visit both truly public, and public to certain factions places. Beyond that, I could also see a game have NO way to know where people are to enhance the sense of exploration or mystery, for MUD-like games as well as intrigue based ones. It's not that OOC secrecy translates to IC security, it's that OOC mystery enhances OOC enjoyment.

RE: New Vampire Release
I always want to ask reddit what they would DO. So many people have a great time ripping into others, but you'll notice they never actually state how they would handle it, because that would give others the ability to take their particular answer to task as well.
I see that here sometimes. It lets me know who to ignore.

RE: Horror MUX - Discussion
Anyone have suggestions for how to amend fragmented or non-start play like this? Is there an approach or tool that would help?

RE: RL peeves! >< @$!#
Check for a phone app to remind you? Or use the calendar function or alarms or something?

RE: Horror MUX - Discussion
@deadculture Hmm, I was hoping that clever folks out there had other approaches as well.
EG a group I know has the alpha team and has a beta team to play when not everyone can make it. That beta team is more flexible in terms of sudden start stops, and in general, are set up for quick single session stories. This is for a tabletop group, but it got me thinking about if players can come up with satisfying ways to "catch up" in their own experiences. Like making up their own dramatic moment that causes them to be at the right place/seek the right people/bring themselves to attention of the others. Something.

RE: RL things I love
Emergency and post-mortem rights are often in focus. Property rights etc can be handled anytime, or even without legal proceedings, but these situations often place you in the hands of standard ethics and policies.

RE: Horror MUX - Discussion
Maybe split stories and how they are handled between the one a week folk, and the every other day folk? I assume that they are still carrying the majority of the burden for RP, and staff is handling very specific things, which are mainly designed to allow for that player generated content, or ending a question/plot/showing a twist.
