@Thenomain I had iTunes long before Amazon and Netflix and Google Whatever were really known. I don't have any books through iTunes, but I do have a ton of songs and movies through it. These days I use Amazon, Netflix, or Google for... pretty much everything. But I had no clue the stuff I got from iTunes could eve BE reformatted. So thanks! I'll have to poke at it.

@Arkandel I've not had an issue with it yet. And I work a solid 30 hours a week right now.

Yeah, that had to be one of Samsung's worse ideas... along with sealing the battery case.
I have shared 10GB a month data between 3 people, work 6-8 hour days... iHeart Radio is amazeballs for that. Doesn't suck down data and lets me choose from a broad variety of music AND existing radio stations. -

@Glitch No problem! If you run into any issues, you're welcome to tag me on Skype. I'm happy to help troubleshoot if it'll get your tablet with the program!

@Arkandel I bought a microSD with larger storage capacity. Put all my media stuff on that.
@Glitch My son has a Kindle Fire, but my mom has a Samsung tablet and she has 0 issues with using Amazon anything on it. And I personally can access my Amazon videos on my PC and phone. Just use the Amazon app.

I don't even bother with mp3 devices anymore. My phone is my mp3 player.

As far as I know, you can still sync your iPhone to a PC... as far as I know. My issue with their incompatibility largely stems from iTunes. I can have iTunes on my Windows PC, spend hundreds of dollars on songs, shows, movies, and books... but I cannot have it anywhere BUT my computer without buying Apple's (to me) horrendously expensive iPhone or Macbook. The same cannot be said of Google's various media applications, or Amazon's, or Netflix or Kindle or... I think you see where I'm going with this. Those I can pull up at the drop of a hat from ANY media-capable device. And this was a thing LONG before they started dominating the market with iPhones and iPods.
Also... iPhones may not be so dominating these days after all, according to at least the CIRP.

People buying something doesn't make it a reasonably priced product. People buy stupid shit ALL THE TIME that's not worth the amount of money paid for it. The market doesn't determine whether something is reasonably priced, it merely tracks how many people are buying what products. In other words, its tracking popularity of products, not determining whether or not they're overpriced. A product is easily capable of being both popular AND overpriced.

Fuck a bunch of Apple! I refuse to support anything so overpriced and ridiculously unwilling to work with ANYTHING not Apple.

I just finished upgrading to 10 on my PC, so we'll see how it works out. I'm running with their shell for the moment, may dl the Classic Shell if I find I don't like it.

Hey. Hey, I think you got something in your eye there. You might want to see a doctor if that doesn't clear up.
@Sunny If that's meant as a character intro... two thumbs up!!! Awesome, would read again.

@Thenomain Okay. Still doesn't change my last post.

RE: Dust to Dust (Formerly the nWoD grenade thread)
@Thenomain Don't get me wrong, I'm for discussion and getting a sampling of what -everyone- wants/doesn't want/thinks is right or wrong... but in the end, its not going to change my personal opinion. I play on games that have policies/staffers that I don't always agree with. I recognize that my opinion may not be in the majority or popular. That doesn't stop me from espousing my opinion on forums such as this where I know it will have no affect on a game. There's a reason I called my last post a 'short response'. Its by far not the whole of my thoughts and/or opinions.
@Coin You do, actually, have the ability to act differently on different bits. People have been doing it for YEARS. That its you doesn't change that. Its where that whole 'I don't know you' part comes in. Because I don't know you, I can't actually say for fact that you would treat a single situation the same as both a staffer and a player. You say you would, but I have no evidence or history with you to show whether or not I can trust what you're saying. I don't understand why this is so hard for you to grasp.

RE: Dust to Dust (Formerly the nWoD grenade thread)
I'll have to formulate up more comprehensive answers later, but to at least toss up something now so you don't feel like I'm ignoring the points you've all brought up...
Gany: When I say 'sphere-wide plot' I mean 'metaplot for a sphere', as in, the major story arc for a sphere. And I say 'should' because I know that such things HAVE been handed to players before. Never saw it end well, but its happened.
Coin: It may be a fact to you, but its not to me. I don't know that you would act the same on both bits. In addition, that separation exists in part because of a point you yourself brought up earlier. You don't want to be bugged about 'staff stuff' on your characters. The same works in reverse. Don't make 'staff decisions' on your character bit.
Ark: Dude, you need to work on your quoting. XD I don't feel comfortable letting you, as a non-staffer, make the sort of long-lasting and far-reaching changes to an entire sphere that a metaplot can and often does, just because you think it would be fun to run. Its taking none of the rest of the sphere's thoughts or opinions into account and could end up lessening the enjoyment of people in the sphere.

RE: Dust to Dust (Formerly the nWoD grenade thread)
See, you say that... but I have no reason to believe or trust you in that. See where the difference is? You can 'guarantee' all you like... my experience has shown me that when allowed, its ends in abuse of power, and you've given me no hard evidence to support that you would be different. Why -should- I trust you, in other words.

RE: Dust to Dust (Formerly the nWoD grenade thread)
So tell me, then. Why do you still keep a Staff bit on your own game? If you feel SO strongly that it makes no difference whether it comes from a staff or player bit... why do you have one? Why not do away with them entirely and just use your player bit for everything?
