Hello everyone! The clock's ticking and we're 5 minutes from midnight.
The Staffers at Fallout Montreal are yet incomplete, and we're looking into getting at least one (more would be amazing!) Staffer(s) that would be willing to aid Players during American times.

OPENING UPDATE!
Ok, so here's a thing! As Staff, we still plan to open around the beginning of February. After speaking with our coder, we should have a good bit rolling through the month of January.
That being said, we originally wanted to test the coding first BEFORE opening the game to the public. However, if we run up on our opening date, we may switch gears and open as BETA for those interested.
I'm tossing this message out to see how everyone feels about that. If you need to message me, feel free to! Also, don't forget you're welcomed to join our Temp Discord channel pre-game opening.
Work Update!
Funtimes all around. Firstly, we apologies for a slack in updates, but it has all been due to RL responsibilities. Now, to the fun stuff!
Aurora has been fully desced (with the exception of personalized building settings)
Old Montreal is fully desced.
Wastes were ripped out and redone. Dig complete.
Coder is finally back from their own personal matters and is getting ready to get into gear.
Wiki to be finalized within the next few days. Changes pending once the code is in place and testing has been completed.
Apologies are good. Knowing you did something wrong and working toward fixing that is always progressive.
That being said, since this is 'Shout In The Dark', perhaps try going about this by listing a game, or specific player names you remember. Should someone answer, THEN try your hand at messaging them personally. A private apology is always better than a blanket one. Also, it's much more sincere.

Release Update!
Should things continue to go well, and our Coder gets into a good spot, we plan on opening somewhere between January - February. We know this is a bit of time away, but we didn't think it was a good go to open during the holiday season.
Wiki Update!

Backgrounds have been posted up. It, and the rest of the wiki, are still in the process of being fluffed out here and there. Weapons are next on the agenda to be set up on the wiki itself.
Here's a Discord invite to anyone who wishes to use it. This server will be used for early meet ups, Q&As and what have you while we're in development. Once the game is up and running, this server WILL be deleted and invitations will be handed out to our main one.
QUESTION TO THE PUBLIC!
Would you guys be interested in a chat time with the game's current Staff/Developers? If so, I'm considering making a lil throw away Group on Discord for this. We HAVE a Discord for the game itself, but until we're actively open (or about to be) I won't be inviting players to join there just yet.
I'll toss up a pole and we'll go from there! Thanks to everyone so far for your support and interest!

@secretfire Yup! I think we decided not to perk that in, mainly because it was more of a character situation or something personal to them to play with their addictions. I'll bring it up again, but I'm pretty sure what's where we were going with it.
Edit: Sorry, didn't realize I didn't address your customization comment. I'm not sure if I tossed this up before somewhere in the thread, but we're setting up the game due to the code base we're provided to play with. Since Coders are like GODS among us, we work with what we have (gladly!) and are trying to shape the concept within it. Apologies for any disappointment this might cause, but we hope the rest of the excitement, and your future rp experiences, will more than make up for it!
When picking Perks/Traits/etc, we've been using the Fallout Wikia (and a basis from Fallout 1 to New Vegas.) Is there anything specific you'd like to see? Keeping in mind that the ones we have are the one's we've picked out from the lists provided. If we think a suggestion could work, we'll see about slipping it in!
UPDATE! - Still trying to work out the issues regarding the wiki lay out and upsizing the text. May need to search for someone who understands the lay out more than can offer a helping hand.
Backgrounds will be posted within the next couple of days, as well as the list of Chems.

Ok guys. We've been working on Perks and Backgrounds as well as starting stats. I'll be adding a majority of these onto the Wiki within the next couple of days, but I'll be posting a link (or list) of perks here. Once that's done, if you see something missing you to as a RPer, or within the RP community, give us a shout! Let us know what seems to be missing for you! We're trying to make sure that our positives are evened out among people and their flavor of rp.
@ganymede Homebrewing the fuck out of a d10 system. We're using what shell we have and vamping it up to fit the setting as much as possible.
STAFF and ST REQUEST!
For those interested and are stateside, we're looking for more Staffers that will be willing to help once we go live. Your responsibilities will be to aid players with any questions regarding the game, and to lead plots/stories if you'd like. You do not have to handle requests, xp spends, builds, etc. It's just so we have support when it's play hours during US and UK times.
We do have one staffer already, but more is very, very helpful! Message me if you'd like!
We're also toying with the idea of having Storytellers be part of the game. Other systems would call them Tier leaders, but just those that are willing to help drive RP forward when the time arises. These positions will be open to players, and will be offered incentives should they accept. Like the Staff position, this isn't needed until we go live. You're free to pull away at any time, and you're also allowed to request this position only if you actually ENJOY what you're playing, and where you're playing.

Hey everyone, just dropping a lil note here. RL has choked a few of us for different reasons. That being said, we're all starting to come back together and get back to work. Apologies for any delays this is causing anyone.
@tragedyjones Ahoy! I'll toss the questions out to everyone and see what they say in regards to vehicles. I think we didn't have any on land (this could change) and boats are a side idea after a plot element is completed (given we're on a river!)
Power Armor will be VERY (very) scarce. We're even limiting the number of people who can actively play in the Brotherhood. Not saying it's impossible to get it, just that not everyone will have ready access to it, and it'll probably be more of a reward than anything else.
We're still working on how chems work. What they do, what they don't do.Once we have that figured out I'll be sure to post it up on the wiki, and update that info here.
Side Note - Our inspirations are very early game (Fallout, Fallout 2) with some sprinklings of the other games in for good measure. We took a bit of 'I like this' and then kept stirring.
