@carex The key for us isn't the have and have nots. If you wanted a game that is purely about the survival-battle aspect, well...that's what the video games themselves are for. Here, given that it's a setting or MULTIPLE people, not just crafted NPCs, you have to have more than just 'Ok, go. Survive.'
That being said, we're already taking things like supplies and resources into consideration. There will be a code that regulates people's inventories and takes count of what they spend, use, etc.
We will also be working on something that allows people to gather/scavenge, but this is NOT done automatically, and must be done via RP and communicating with Staff.
So...yus! We're going to address that point and have taken it under consideration.
We also will not be allowing everyone to just get what they want. If you work toward it, (by work we mean be active and rp) then maybe we can work something out for you within the confines of the setting. THINGS WILL BE LIMITED! Especially special goodies.
For example? You won't be killing a group of Raiders and pop out with Enclave Armor.

Wiki is being updated with fluff and more information as we speak. Examples are Wanted Concepts, Bestiary, Factions. (Theme will also be going up as of this weekend, along with POSSIBLE fluff for other Traits (Attributes, Skills, etc)

@patty Great ideas! We are working on a number of factions, and I figured the other day that Pro and Con unification and the like would still be a sore spot, especially given the whole...street executions and what not.
Edit: You also reminded me that we don't have a lil church or anything in our settlement. I'll have to change that I think.

@secretfire Not sure just yet. We're working out the system currently, and getting a grip on finalizing what we want our code to do for players. It'll be tested by Staff first, and once we get closer to an actual opening date, I'll be sure to let everyone know. The wiki will also have information set up on it, but it's very bare bones at the moment.
It was an old body with new skin, so still fixing that up, too!

@patty Thanks for all your suggestions! When looking up music, I did do a bit of historical digging, but some things I found just didn't match the flavor I was going for. I have been asking for assistance in things that are Montreal at heart, just to try and give it a proper home given the setting.
I'm all ears for any further suggestions you may have, though I think we have to take some things with a grain of salt. Mostly due to the fact that none of us (Staff I mean) are actually from the area we're using, and we'd still keep it a 'What If' type universe, as Fallout is want to do.

Mmm. I'm thankful for all the advice and everything, too. A bundle of experiences is mighty helpful. Especially, especially, when using THIS setting as your game's theme.

@sunnyj I guess I'm still on that 'look on the bright side of death' part of things. Still, regardless of all the shit I've had to personally walk through.
I get what you're saying, too, and I see your points, and I'm not saying 'play something that doesn't fit theme', what I'm saying is players should feel welcomed where they go. Granted, they have to be able to talk and compromise, but they should at least not feel like they run into a brick wall when they first start blurbing out ideas.
Sure, it's shitty. Staff has to handle a lot, and I know that not having their presence on game can be a killer. I still think that it's about support on both sides of the table/screen/what have you.
EDIT: Also, sorry that was all such a jumble up there. I really shouldn't post things when I'm tired and word vomiting.
