I don't think this is something that I would use at all, but if other people want a blank slate to sandbox on, it's no skin off my nose.

In that case, I'll just leave a polite note here that this game was not for me, that I left because I felt my friends and I were not welcome as new players to Vampire and people who came in with hooks to each other, and that while I think there are fun players on the game and even staffers who I enjoyed, I have to disagree with @Auspice's assessment of Luxor. F&L is extremely active especially in the Vampire sphere and there is no doubt play to be found there.

I don't think the only information available in an ad thread should be positives.

I finally got my ADHD diagnosis. Along with two other diagnoses. One of which surprised the fuck out of me and one of which everyone who has met me for the last 20 years probably knew before I spoke.

Can't get any medicine yet because the doc wants to figure out WTF is going on with my high blood pressure before we change my meds. BUT SOON. MAYBE. I HOPE.

I personally think the initial response was pretty mild; it's the continuous doubling down that has brought out the wolverines.

Most people who post in the Hog Pit are perfectly civil and reasonable in other areas of life because context exists.

I don't buy this thing that the Hog Pit is some kind of magic curse on game society or something because people feel free to be ruder there.

Sometimes an event scene can just be pure light-hearted fun and no one is a jerk and it's just a bunch of players sitting around genuinely enjoying the game and RPing about nothing doomy even when I inflict banjos on them.

One character or player monopolizing all the attention of a particular npc is an issue that exists regardless of whether there is hanky panky involved, and is especially annoying when the player attempts to use it to throw their weight around ooc about how well connected they are. But while the sexytimes angle is and can be part of this I GUESS, I think making the issue sex instead of spotlighting is a mistake and muddies the waters.

You know what's worse than nodding and smiling? 'X ohs and nods.' 'X ohs and smiles softly.'

You must be treated by the state as innocent until proven guilty by the state and convicted by a jury of your peers. But that's strictly a criminality standard. In a civil case, you're a harasser if a preponderance of the evidence says you are.

For an election, if there's probable cause to believe you've assaulted someone, I ain't voting for you. For an entertainment professional, if there's probable cause to believe you've assaulted someone, I'm sure as fuck not obligated to buy your shit.

To RP with someone on a GAME? Yeah, if there's probable cause to believe you're a dirty harassing creepster, you're off my game. You have no right to be on my game. That's the door. Pack your shit and get out. Context matters; standards of proof change depending on circumstance; we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, and I'm not gonna let you play in my game if I wouldn't let you play in my weekend game at my house.

You know, after all of that gnashing of teeth and shouting at each other over insults, semantics, derails etc., I'm glad we can all still come together more or less unified to point at the weirdo stalker dude like 'grrrrrross.'

IDK, I mean, if somebody is OOC uncomfortable with something I want to know that so that I can make them not uncomfortable, but that's not limited to sex. For example, I edited a tabletop scene recently because it was upsetting a player that I was making sad dog noises when some murderdogs were getting hurt, and I stopped doing it because why would I want to make my players uncomfortable?

What consenting adults do in private is nobody's business but their own.

I call it collaborative storytelling when asked to explain what my hobbies are by random humans.

I disagree that TS is always irrelevant to story. Rping out sex can have an impact on the intimacy of characters that is very difficult to replicate through simple ftb. Any kind of story can be off camera, but there is always more room to maneuver and express where you actually rp versus where you offscreen. Whether you are off camming the boning or the torture or whatever else.

I have had several very good, very emotionally intense scenes over the course of this past week, and also at least one that was amazing comedy. It's just been a great RP week and I am really feeling why this hobby is fun. #blessed??
