I guess it's hard to be depressed when your digestive system is in full rebellion. Was there a monkey's paw involved in the production process?
"Congratulations! You're too busy to be sad!"
ugh I hate it when my insides are rebelling. (Wow, someone else thought of the thing that I call it! O.O )

@SG shrug The person who was trying to "correct" me was from the midwest originally.

RE: RL Anger
Someone trying to "correct" me because I used "shit disturber" rather than "shit stirrer". Uh, no, I said shit-disturber, I MEANT shit-disturber. I'm pretty sure that "Shit Disturber" is the Canadian version of Shit Stirrer anyway.

@HelloRaptor Denis Leary keeps telling everyone, "'If you quit smoking, you can live an extra 10 years, you can live an extra 20 years.' I've got news for you folks, it's the ones at the END! It's the wheelchair, adult diaper, kidney dialysis f'ken years, you can have those years, we don't want em!"
I had a relative that smoked like a chimney. He died at age 38 (heart attack). I had another relative that smoked like a chimney. Died at age 65 (cause unknown, thought to be stroke.). Then there's other smokers that live to nearly 100. It's no guarantee one way or the other.

@The-Tree-of-Woe they do it because it's cheaper.
IDK, there's one candy I like better in USA than Canada, and that's Three Musketeers. It doesn't matter when I get it, but I've consistently found (compared directly multiple times) that there's something about the flavor of US 3 Musketeers that I like better than the Canadian one. Maybe it's just me. XD

Young whippersnappers would know him as Woodhouse, among many other roles.
NO! Not WOODHOUSE! Now who will make Eggs Woodhouse for Archer every morning?
(I wonder if they're going to kill off Woodhouse for serious now. He's been MIA since like near the tail end of last season, maybe that was because his VA was ailing.)

RE: What do you look for in a game?
well, for me it's a mix of flexibility (within reason), well-behaved players, well-behaved and efficient staff, half-decent rules, and an interesting theme.

yeah but I mean, wouldn't that make a perfect South Park episode?
Only if you're ready for "pussy-pocket" and "jewel = clit" jokes. I admit, I grew tired of South Park about four years ago, but I enjoy other people liking South Park, because amusement is infectious. Likewise, I liked the Stick of Truth video game. It was way, way, way too long, but it was fun.
I liked the world of warcraft and old people driving and casa bonita episodes XD

...Is this one of those My Little Pony games? Please, please tell me it is.

@Roz true enough, though I think it would be a courtesy, to put said players on notice. But yeah when all is said and done, when they do, the hammer has to come down.

I think there should have been a probationary period for such people.
Bullshit. This is always, always bullshit.
If you hire a creeper as a staffer, take responsibility. Fire them.
If you knowingly allow bad players onto your game, get rid of them. Ban them.
If you don't, admit your mistakes, and move on.
It's really that simple.
None of this has any relation to the question originally posted. If you're tired of running a game, stop running it. Your decision to do so is no one else's business. You do no one favors by flogging the dead beast until it crumbles.
I was talking about before any of that other stuff happened. (I'm doubtful about the whole "creeper" thing, because reasons I won't go into here, in any event, but that's not what I was talking about. As far as I know, the alleged "creeper" was never banned from anywhere, though I could be ignorant - but yeah, if he was provably guilty, he should have been dealt with).
The bottom line is when you accept banned players, you don't always know what the truth is regarding their situations. Sure, some are actually guilty of what they were accused. Some were not. There has to be a way to separate the wheat from the chaff while not being unfair to the wheat.

@surreality It's not an original creation; it's a theme based on a comic book (that also has cartoon media in its history).
Everything isn't all that it seems in this mess though, but the baseline is, some people who were banned from other games were banned for a reason. (Others were banned unjustly from one game, yes, I was one of them.) While I understand and appreciated JaySherman's willingness to let bygones be bygones (as far as people being banned from other games) and giving people another chance, I think there should have been a probationary period for such people. (Including myself, even though I was banned unjustly, because proving one's self is of utmost importance).
-
RE: Old Yeller
@icanbeyourmuse To be fair, JaySherman was looking for someone to take over administration/running of the game for several months now. Before this happened. So I think Notuseless was kind of counting on that.
