For all that is holy I LOVE LOSING.
Norwood's going to drag his sorry ass right to Reigna for healing.

My IC Family.
Norwood's got some super solid players/characters around him (including all of the people who call him 'uncle' which is seriously the best.)
And Kenna's married-in-family is awesome, as is so much of her Whitehawk/Mercier, even if some of their players flux a lot at times.
In my eyes IC family trumps having traditional relationship RP.
I hit that submit for moderation button so fast on that idiot's post. This is disgusting.
My own ick stories are nothing to compare with most, but I dearly wish that my parents had known how to monitor my use and had known how to have these types of conversations with me. I would have been saved some serious heartache. I applaud @buttercup 's parenting.
I can't help but feel bad for literally everyone in that situation - including the landlord. He still has to pay property taxes. It's down the line, but this could take a major chunk out of his own living.
I think it's imperative upon players to realize when a scene SIMPLY is not for us and be willing to step away also then not lambaste ourselves for that.
I know I just dropped out of a scene on Arx because of a few things that ran contrary to how I work as a player. Paragraph long poses just lose me. I always miss a detail and then I feel stupid for missing it. I always do SOMETHING wrong when someone hands me paragraphs of text to react to. Then others were also posing paragraphs back and I checked out so quickly it wasn't even funny. There was also a very strict pose-order (aka, everyone posed between ST poses.) THIS IN AND OF ITSELF IS OKAY, but I get bored if I can't respond in a timely fashion to the other people around me. This is my own character defect and nothing that reflects upon the ST in the scene.
So... it's okay to step out when you realize it isn't your pot of tea.
For GMs I think it's important to keep track of the pacing of your scene. Like, is it taking people 10-15 minutes to pose? Is there someone who is isn't posing regularly, or if they're usually a prolific poser, are they only doing 1-2 line nothing poses? Then they can ask.
So. I don't have access to neither my math nor my language arts curriclum because somehow my school was left off the list of allowed schools. So that's fun.
Also, if my admin say, "but you're so good at..." one more time when I bring up my concerns about this upcoming year and my fears about failing my kids I swear I'm going to take a bat to a wall. I don't need your fucking reassurances of my ability. I need you to help me process and find a fucking plan forward. I'm not expressing my concerns because I need validation. I'm expressing my concerns because I fucking NEED HELP.
Being able to play my character's job.
I love playing my character's job.
Also, PrPs being tweaked to start early enough so I can join the WHOLE thing. I get that it's not going to be always possible and I'll NEVER ask for the accommodation. From my heart forever I'll appreciate the accommodation tonight.
(even if it means Norwood's skin comes off, it's fine.)
It is not right for a kid to HAVE to carry a backpack that heavy at such a young age.
Just because it DID happen, doesn't mean it's okay.
Just because it DOES happen, doesn't mean it's okay.
Look I love IC, but sometimes OOC is the best too.
[Laurent] Reigna: So... drinking milk from a dishonored cow... Y/N?
[Laurent] Reigna: Oathlands equivalent to a kegstand?
[Laurent] Mabelle: its like a dirty rum
[Laurent] Tyren: i would say absolutely not, I mean then you're drinking dishonored milk
[Laurent] Tyren: I wonder if dishonored milk is flavored.
[Laurent] Jael: It's bitter
[Laurent] Norwood: yes it is
[Laurent] Norwood: with dishonor
[Laurent] Reigna: It tastes like tears of shame and regret.
[Laurent] Cristoph: lol conversations I did not expect to read today
[Laurent] Cristoph: 10/10 guys
[Laurent] Norwood: you are welcome
[Laurent] Jael: We live to serve
[Laurent] Reigna bows!
[Laurent] Reigna: I bet dishonored milk makes the BEST Lycene cheese.

Please share with all the children.
We got a new Margerie guys and she's pretty good. Just a nice first scene. I think we're going to have a good partnership.
@kk said in Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff:
I am like grr give us more.
Sorry, gotta fix this for you with the words you should absolutely using.
THIS IS NOT MY FUCKING RESPONSIBILITY. YOU <insert responsible party> HAVE A FUCKING MORAL OBLIGATION TO MAKE SURE WE AND OUR PATIENTS STAY SAFE. MAN THE HELL UP AND FUCKING GIVE US THE TOOLS WE FUCKING NEED.
Norwood, though I might go fiddle around with him more.
Kenna
Wow I post here a lot but...
This year has made me wonder if the classroom is really where my best efforts are at. I would like to move into an intervention role wherein I can work with targeted groups. I realize that this is not possible in my building, so I have to go elsewhere.
It is mid March and I THOUGHT I was being responsible by going to my principal and telling her about my plans and asking for a letter of recommendation.
Apparently it is "HR policy" to not provide letters of recommendation until the employee has resigned.
I am absolutely without words.
(Also, I wish I had a union atm.)
Wow, so, somehow I missed a majority of the conversation related to that particular banned character, I'd only seen what was on this particular page. My bad on that.
I still think it's worth moving the conversation back to the topic of the thread and letting that particular topic go be it's own, because I don't see anyone reading that character linked and finding it not offensive.
My husband swears up and down he doesn't love our old lady black cat, but then sends me pictures of old lady black cat who hangs out with him all day now that I'm back in the building.
I know the truth. He loves old lady black cat.
