Definitely try the Nauti Spirits sweet potato vodka if you have the chance. It's not expensive, but dang, it's good in coffee in winter. It doesn't taste like sweet potato, but it does taste different and has a nicer scent that is all happiness.

RE: RL things I love
@nyctophiliac It really is pretty good. (And he is neat to listen to.) I don't know if I'd call it $$$/bottle good, which it seems to run these days, but the bottles are probably not cheap to make, and it is admittedly good.
I think we got the big one (shortly after it first came out) for about $95. The medium, more recently, for... I wanna say half that on a 'please get this dust collector off the shelf' special? People usually look like they're going to slap me when I say this, though, so. Uh.
The small ones I've seen for $8.50 to about $15. If you want to try it, that's definitely where to aim first! Plus, the wee bottles are seriously fucking adorable.

@nyctophiliac Yeah, we have one full size, one of the medium, and three of the singles. (I have no idea where the the third screwed off to.)
They're waiting to be filled with some polished crystal pebbles we collected from a local beach, because somehow, doing that amuses me deeply. (Crystal skulls not of real crystal, full of... real crystal. I am very easily amused sometimes and that beach is lousy with crystal pebbles that polish up very pretty.)
I only drink vodka booze-wise, so once in a blue moon over the years, I splurged. Was a ways back, though, when they were a fair bit less than I see them for now. If we see a good deal on one and have the cash, we'll sometimes nab one. (These days, the splurge is cheaper, but for a localish distillery that makes killer sweet potato vodka, Nauti Spirits -- worth looking for if it can be found somewhere.) The little ones were coming in regularly at a local shop where the husband would sometimes pick up lottery tickets, so he'd get one if they had them and we won $10 or something.
Somewhere (I think under the desk... ) we have another skull bottle that's a touristy pirate thing from a shop in South Carolina I keep meaning to put up there with them when I can scrape the touristy garble off of it.

@Auspice They had a couple of cute trick or treat bags that are actually a pretty handy size in that 'generic reusable shopping bag' plastic. I picked up one with a black cat on it to use for Backup Travel Project. It's nothing fancy, but cute. (We always raid Publix for their halloween ones to see if they have any good ones if we're in their region in time, too. Not sure if they are where you are.)
Crappy image, and wow that shelf needs dusting, but the two containers are up there already with the skulls. Hard to see the sculpted tops, but, well. I am lazy and I don't wanna get out the short people stepstool again.
ETA: it occurs to me that if I run across the glass bottle bits I found at one point, I need to send you the link, 'cause as I recall you do calligraphy, and could probably make some neat labels on the glass bottles that'd be unique.

@Auspice I need to check Target. I am almost afraid to.
This was Michael's. They have some cute labeled bottles that have sculpted caps; I picked up a bat one and a crow one. They have a really cute bat tray (I think for dip?) I am eyeballing for a key dish.
The one bit of kitchenery that doesn't have to match rainbow these days is 'halloween things'.

RE: RL things I love
Goofy Halloween decor on sale. Specifically: dorky little bottles with creepy labels and their ilk.
The only upside of Halloween stuff coming and going so fast: by the time you know it even exists, it's usually already on clearance.

RE: RL Anger
@Aria I recommend, "No, Myra! No! No one in your family has ever been a drinker!" because I'm mean today.
Maybe also a very visible tally board? Or make up a custom punch-card, like a loyalty card, and just punch a hole in that fucker every single time, loudly.

RE: RL Anger
@Ghost These people suck. You don't deserve to have to deal with their, and they definitely don't deserve to have a friend who does the things you do for people who aren't bullshitting.

RE: The ADD/ADHD Thread (cont'd from Peeves)
@Rinel In my case, I suspect any lingering bits have to do with 'the more someone nags me to do something, the more I want to avoid doing it'.
To me, that just feels like a normal human response, but apparently it is not.

RE: Do you care about other people's music?
@Pandora That is a very neat idea. I really like that.

RE: Games? Do they exist? Where?
@Seraphim73 Oh sweet merciful mother of wankery. (Which, I suppose, could be pronated or supinated as well, if we're getting technical about it... )

RE: Games? Do they exist? Where?
...someone explain this? It sounds amusing, but ???

@Ganymede Ditto. At the time, though, it was 'Oppositional Defiance Disorder'.
I will be sad if they drop the first bit. Being clinically ODD is somehow really fucking apt for me.
