@Wizz Yeah, it's a fairly common thing. Cannabis can be great, but it's medicine and should be used with care.

RE: It's where you putcher weed ...
I'm in a state with legal medical cannabis products, but only oils and extracts, and you have to pay a fee every year just for the privilege of being able to be prescribed cannabis.
I'm lucky. My dad likes growing and lives in a state where he can with no problems, so I buy the seeds for the strains I want and he grows them for me.

I play Brianna on Arx as a functional, athletic person who regularly smokes that game's version of weed to unwind. As a habitual user, she knows her limits and prefers to remain functional.
IRL, I use cannabis to help with chronic pain caused by benign nerve tumors, and I'm very much the same way.

@SilentHills During the rescue op, Alecstazi smacked the haze out of Jules' stupid mouth.

RE: Diversity Representation in MU*ing
@Tinuviel I would have no idea how to play a NT character

Right now, working on the Ways to Grow shawl with yarn that came from my friend's sheep, dyed by her mother.

RE: RL Anger
I'm sick and fucking tired of my landlord weaponizing his bad Airbnb reviews for the basement unit against us. I am disabled and can't walk any more lightly. He keeps bitching at us about "noise complaints" and is too dumb to realize that we can read his fucking Airbnb reviews, too, three of which complain about being able to (GASP) hear people walking upstairs.

RE: RL things I love
Had my first Arabic lesson. My teacher is smart, funny, easy on the eyes, and thought my "this dog is a doctor" story was hilarious. 11/10, would Arabic again.
-
RE: RL things I love
@Quinn My Arabic is so bad that I end up saying shit like "this dog is a doctor" and "I am a rock with a library".
-
RE: RL things I love
@surreality I can share some pics from my last couple of digs if you want.

RE: RL things I love
Starting Arabic lessons tomorrow! Next time I go on dig, I won't say dumb shit accidentally! From now on, all of the dumb shit I say will be 100% intentional.

RE: Fantasy Avatar Generator
@Ominous that's a good Kieran! There are some facial options to make them look a bit older, but I see what you mean
-
RE: Fantasy Avatar Generator
@Ominous I screenshotted mine and saved them in Paint. You can choose a more masculine body!

RE: Gothic Horror MUSH?
@ZombieGenesis I would loooove some Ravenloft. Like something in Mordentshire or Darkon.

Fantasy Avatar Generator
So I discovered this last night and have been having fun making my Arx characters. Figured I'd give it a share!

RE: Tips for not wearing out your welcome
Emotions can be controlled. Yes, one can choose to be frustrated. What you lack are emotional regulation skills.
It's okay. So did I for most of my life. They can be learned.
No one is expecting you to be perfect. They are expecting you to keep your shit together and not make your shit their problem.
If you are in a state where you are unable to keep your shit together, which happens to the best of us, you log the fuck off until you can.

Sharing another link to a PDF version of this damned workbook again. Seriously. It'll be great for... many people here, really.

neuroatypical people are an atypical context
We're also not a monolithic structure that can be dealt with using generalisations.
If you've met one neurodiverse person, you've met one neurodiverse person.

RE: Tips for not wearing out your welcome
@mietze This was something I used to struggle with. I didn't realize that just because people wanted to play pretendytimes with me, it didn't mean that they were automatically my best friends and I could unload all of my shit onto them. That really extended to all sorts of social situations, and I've learned more about boundaries since then.
