[Taking the Witcher 3 out of the No Man's Sky thread]

As for Ciri's eyeshadow, just play the game. And watch this trailer:

Yyyeaaaaahhhhh, but I can't even make it through Witcher 1 for its janky controls—I can't mentally get through it—and its buggy nonsense—the reverend disappeared so I can't get past the starting village. As much as I absolutely adore a good story, I do have standards.

Are you sure this is true of TinyMUX too? I wouldn't be surprised if this is the first time I've heard of this, but this is the first time I've heard of this.

Edit: I just read more carefully what you said. "If a charobj is set Inherit..." Yeah, that I've heard of, long, long, long ago.

      BTW: You're old.

I'm mentioning my love of freedom of hobbies.

I am honestly confused why this needs debated.

I have to ask, because now it's bugging me:

Who put on this dead woman's eye-shadow?

      Also:

Should I save up for Deus Ex or buy Witcher 3?

It's possible that the room can see the attribute because it's owned by you. I'm unaware if TinyMux works like this. I may test it in the future, but I'll also summon @Chime and @Ashen-Shugar again to weigh in on this one.

Sure, you don't even have to breathe, eat, drink, or have shelter, Captain Obvious. The whole first tier of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is optional if you're that way about things. But this isn't a thread about breathing, it's a thread about what you enjoy about life and I enjoy not having to immerse myself in a subculture if I don't want to.

So at least you can let people have that.

      RL Things I Love:

I don't have to exercise. I say this because I could never get into the subculture and language of whatever was mentioned above that I could google but I'm far too lazy to.

Oh! OH! It's ownership of the exits! If you own the exit, then you can see its attribute. If you don't own the exit, you can't.

If the owner of the room also owns the exit, the room should be able to read all (non-dark) attributes.

If the owner of the room doesn't own the exit, it doesn't matter who sets the attributes, the room won't be able to read the exit's attributes.

The only way around this is to set all the rooms themselves "Inherit". Do not do this.

Does that fit the model of the problem?

@Thenomain I can't quite fathom how a mouse+keyboard would be worse than using a controller but that might be because I suck at the latter.

The Korra video game is the only one that I've played that is far better on a controller.

TinyMUX doesn't work that way with attribute inheritance. Even if she were #1, I don't think the system would automatically restrict access to the attribute; it doesn't even with attributes set on #1.

My Xbox PC controller is sitting under my desk somewhere, waiting for me to play a game like Korra that is better played with one.

      I can't think of another.

      #pcgamingmasterrace

(Kidding, but I still can't think of any other game I would consider improved with a controller.)

The child room has no access to the filter attribute (the attribute, not that it's a filter) on the parent. I'm not kidding and it's a design feature for security. Here's one of the few times I'm going to say: Use iter() to build your own inline filter.

But why did it work before? It worked but stopped working for only objects that I recently messed iwth.

A great mystery of life. This has been bugging me too. It isn't to do with attribute ownership unless you either used Wizard (#1) to set the value—where it still shouldn't matter—or accidentally set &_build, which you normally would catch by now.

Can be high and/or drunk and still have a great time. It's ridiculous, silly, and totally worth playing.

So just like real golf then? 🙂

Only in real golf, you need to be drunk or high to enjoy it.

(I'm so going to get downvoted for that.)

      (Still worth it.)

      @surreality

The player left when they were pretty much given the cold shoulder by staff for not being Super Duper Always Friendly and instead being kind of creepy. I hated this attitude from staff because the number of times I had to ask them to stop being super creepy on channel you'd think that they'd tone it down or loosen up, but no, your attitude is only wrong when someone else does it. A universal truth.

Same. And eventually I figure I'll actually finish Mass Effect 3, or one of the Fallout games aside from New Vegas instead of getting distracted.

You finished the best Fallout game, so you can stop there if you want.

ME3 ends a good storyline. Playing it just for the Citadel DLC is worth it, tho.
