For as much as I've complained about money, I can finally say we're pretty much caught up on bills. So figured I'll celebrate that fact by commissioning some arty stuff from friends to improve my stream.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
I am glad we didn't ever use the snooze button. When the alarm went off we were pretty much 100% go as the hubby had to be at work by 7 and the kids had to be ready for the bus. Then alarms stopped being a part of my life entirely when the youngest was in his senior year. I told him 'look, I love you a lot, but I am done with this morning bs, you're old enough to know what to do to get ready and when you need to be out the door, you can do it on your own'. I wasn't winning any mother of the year awards for that, but I didn't care.

RE: Sexuality: IC and OOC
Anymore, I tend to play heterosexual female characters. I have played bisexual female characters in the past but way too many bad experiences has kind of... compelled me to not do so anymore I've also used to play male characters - still would if the mood to do so were to strike and I found myself in the right mindset to do so - who were all sorts of all over the place. My last two male characters were ones I played on BSG Cerberus: Petroski, who was very sexually ambiguous and would flirt with anyone, and Richards, who was heterosexual.
ETA: I will admit that I too have been guilty of playing horribly-done gay male characters that often get associated as being played by woman. I hope that I'd do better if I were to do so again in present-time.

a job that will not cover your basic necessities
The fact that such things exist befuddles and infuriates me beyond measure.
They are a thing, and more of a thing than people realize, unfortunately. We're kind of in that situation.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
This really falls under the category of 'first world problem', as much as I hate to use that phrase, but I need to vent, so here it is.
I really hate being on a tight budget. It really wouldn't be a bad thing, many people are on tight budgets and do just fine, but it seems like when we really have to tighten the purse strings is when everything just fucking starts breaking. Right now it's my computer which is making doing all but the simplest of things impossible. It wouldn't be an issue, nothing more than something of a minor inconvenience, but considering 99% of what I do is computer-reliant and need a reliable CPU, and I'm still trying to get my streaming off the ground... yeah, this couldn't happen at a worst time.

I am so, so sorry. I wish I had the words to make it okay, but I don't.

RE: RL Anger
In the course of one day, my youngest had to go to the ER to get an x-ray, tetanus shot and antibiotics due to having stepped on a rusty nail AND my stepdad has had to be rushed to the hospital back in San Diego due to a suspected stroke. And, on top of that, my oldest has been on a downswing all week and has been having outbursts and all that.
I honestly do not know what we might've done to piss off whichever deity who is in charge of karmic retribution, but surely we must've paid off whatever misdeeds we were guilty of in the past by now. Can we please stop with the shit storm of crap?

Ah! I didn't realize it was something intentional! I love it!

RE: RL things I love
Heh. Yeah, it's a rather unfortunate name for what's really a great art app. XD

RE: RL things I love
A friend was super sweet and sent me a care package which included an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil. I got ProCreate and managed to make an emote for Twitch that doesn't look like a total dumpster fire.
Today is a good day, despite being Monday 2.0.

RE: RL Anger
We have had feral cats roaming our neighborhood from time to time, although they tend to stick to a couple blocks from us where people have overgrown shrubs and stuff they can hide in. When our cats were still with us I'd often scoop out some of their food into a bowl and leave it outside for them. Real pretty kitties.

RE: How To Treat Your Players Right
You're more than welcome to disagree with me, but I stand by what I said. The onus should be on the players to try and take care of things on their end first, save for the extreme cases I mentioned in my original statement. If things continue, or somehow escalate, then yes. Get staff involved. Fucking ask staff to burn the mother fucker into the ground until there's nothing left but ash. But FFS, please try to do what you (in general you) can to take care of things on your end first.
I need to also point out that every time I've tried to get staff on whatever game involved first I was asked 'well, did you try blocking them or asking them to stop', etc. Not every single person wants people's problems with other player's just up and dumped on their laps without some effort on the person's part first. And that does not make them shitty staffers. They just want people to try and resolve things on their own, first, like any adult should be able to do.

RE: How To Treat Your Players Right
I am all for reporting people for shit behavior. I totally am. But there are ways to deal with it on the player's end that can, and in my opinion, should be done first. Outside of extreme cases, reporting a person to staff should only be done as a last resort, in my opinion. So-in-so is doing something you consider harassment? Block them via client after telling them to leave you alone and that you'll be blocking them, logging you doing so. If they circumvent it or find other ways to bother you... then report them. Provide the log of you asking them to leave you alone and notifying you'll be blocking them along with the other evidence.
ETA: Staff usually has enough on their plates as it is. FFS, please stop adding to their work load. Do what you can on your end first before involving them.
