We should get our writing staff in a room and hand the result to the Coen brothers.
Or Luc Besson. It would still make zero sense but it would be PRETTY nonsense.

@macha
Is there anything we can do to help?
I say this from a thousand miles away and with limited understanding of your situation, but still.

Serial killers and comedy. What's not to like?
Might be interesting to note for those who care - this is built in Ares, and if I'm interpreting their chargen page right, it's got coded sheets.
Obligatory 'I am nothing to do with this game, this is just my take' statement.
I have the good fortune to have a good manager at my job.
The main thing he does, which other managers don't seem to, is he's proactive about asking if I have any problems or concerns.
Your 'traditional' manager will assume if there's a problem, you will tell them. His assumption is that we'll try to handle everything ourselves, and maybe not tell him or tell him too late for him to support.
So, be proactive in asking your team if there are any issues, problems, concerns - and don't just relate it to work stuff. Sometimes just knowing about it is enough, but if you can support, so much the better.
This is Jake. He's a 6 month old Border Collie pupper.
He would like you to throw the ball now, kthnxbai.
Also, he hasn't yet quite mastered how to work both ears at the same time.
Can't paste the images onto here because it keeps saying they're too big.. even though they're like 60-70kb each.

I love having RP partners whose PCs I can emotionally abuse knowing that I'm not really that way and that I am actually, truly apologetic for using them to explore my PC's emotional growth.
Oh my word yes. This, every damn time.

I'd suggest a homebrew area; some newly discovered island the whole Thean continent is rushing to stake a claim to/develop for financial opportunities/escape the continent to/explore for Syrne ruins/whatever. Preferably an uninhabitated chain of isladnds so we could avoid the touchy subject of colonization.
We did exactly this for a 7th Sea LARP and it worked very well
I've recently started playing on Arx.
I've been there a couple weeks now and, even in my GMT-cursed RP time, I've never had a problem finding play. Plus, the people are generally very helpful with things like game lore and commands.
I'm sure it has it's problems (there is indeed a whole thread dedicated to them) but from an always-on-for-RP view, it's been good for me so far.
Sounds somewhat 'Time Stories' themed, for anyone who has played those board games.
A question along that line then - how will you approach the 'if we get it wrong this time we can just try again' trope?
For example if we arrive in the affected timeline on day 1, stay until day 13 trying to resolve the paradox and then return having failed, can we return to day 1?
Hopefully that makes sense.
A family member died last week. Someone I loved, though wasn't super close to.
I'm struggling to feel anything except guilt that I don't feel anything.

Science.
Specifically, the discovery of cryovolcanoes.
So cool.
Oh, man. That IS cool.
And what's cooler than being cool? Ice cold.

I miss my Gray from back in the day and would love to play one again.
As a side note given that this is being set during the Aiel War and the times of the Grand Alliance, there will be plenty for a Grey sister to do.
With the caveat that @WildBaboons is the ultimate owner and decider of such things, from conversations I've had with him, I don't think Aes Sedai are going to be locked behind any kind of barrier to entry, other than perhaps knowing enough about Aes Sedai to play one.
There will be balances to be made across 'how much do I want strength with the five elements of the Source' vs 'how much do I want to have other abilities and advantages', but that in and of itself is a decision for the player to make.
I finally made a thing I'm happy enough with to post!
Somebody posted on Reddit/Imgur about some custom tokens they made for a board game called Spirit Island. Their post is here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/boardgames/comments/iafafd/i_handmade_some_spirits_for_spirit_island/
I was inspired by this! But wanted to do more elemental/primal sort of tokens, so here is my take on them:
Hello folks!
As implied by WB above, the game is now in active development, we have a grid, we're pulling together plot threads and all that fun stuff.
I know that there are some folks (indeed like @TiredEwok themselves mentioned above) who may be interested in a new fantasy game but not be terribly familiar with the Wheel of Time. To this end I've started trying to put a primer together.
This isn't intended to take someone from knowing nothing to being an expert on the Wheel of Time - the intended audience is those who might be interested in playing but don't want to invest days and days reading up on it before dipping their toes in.
What I'd really love is some feedback on it, from both those who know the Wheel of Time and who might be able to suggest useful additions, and those who don't to say if what they're reading makes sense and is helpful.
All feedback, good or bad, is welcome, either on this thread or to me in a PM.
The primer is here! http://patternsofanage.aresmush.com/wiki/primer
Edit: For clarity and typos
Building the rooms and exits and such? Sure.
Descing? Not so much.
Yes, London has been made aware, unfortunately it needs Rome's attention and he's out doing RL right now. It will be back when he's back, I guess!
I've just recently started making bead jewellery as a hobby, simple stuff like flat spiral and hugs 'n kisses patterns.
Anyone on here have suggestions of decent places to find pretty patterns for free/not much moneyz?
Instant mash made up according to instructions, microwaved baked beans, grated cheddar.
Food of kings when you can't make real food.
