Having never met Cybele on Arx, but knowing a little of the mythology, @Rinel's description sounds perfect.

Welcome to the community, @Joyeuse !

You guys are awesome, thank you very much for all the recommendations!
Food: Open to trying most things, though not a huge fan of seafood or super-hot spicy things. Particular likes include lamb and pork dishes (though I'm given to understand that lamb isn't very common in the US?), Italian food, and carbs in pretty much any form.
Things: Interactive attractions, things like museums/science places with hands-on displays/shows. The American Natural History Museum is on my existing very short list. Not so much a fan of places you go to just look at stuff without learning about it.
Hey folks!
I'm going to New York for the first time, in a few weeks, so I thought I'd ask if you all have any recommendations about places to see, eat, enjoy, etc.
Or places to avoid!
Etc

"Oh, you just haven't met the right person; have you tried online dating?" "Oh, everyone loves sex. There's just something chemically wrong with your libido; you should look into medication to correct that!." "You're just afraid to try it; trust me, I promise you'd love it if you just gave it more of a chance."
Oh so very familiar! Do you also get the 'you must have been traumatised as a child!' one?
IC, I have played straight and bi male characters, straight and bi female characters. For some reason, never solely lesbian women or gay male characters. Roughly equal ratio of male to female.
OOC, I am asexual, cis female. I've had two kinds of responses to this on the few occasions this has come to light:
The answer that I rarely get the opportunity to give? Because it's fun. Relationships, be they romantic or sexual or both or neither, are fun. They provide tension and give a space to play out interesting scenarios. But apparently, that's not allowed?
Needless to say, I don't talk about it often.
Edit: There was one time I mentioned it to the player of an IC lover, and he was cool with it (you know who you are!) So, one time out of about a dozen!
@cupcake - I read your initial post and basically felt like you had read my mind. I've been getting that feeling a lot lately.
OTOH, assuming that is also your ares handle, we both play on Chontio and Spirit Lake (my ares handle is @Snaik)- our times are not the most compatible, but if you see me on and you want to play, hit me up, and I'll do the same. Maybe we can be a bit of support network for each other.

I've been really getting into 18XXs lately. Then again, I am a bit neurotic.
I need to upvote this a million times. Just because someone mentioned 18XX. Any particular ones?
Yay, Spreadsheets the Board Game. My personal favourite is 1861, because the winner is the first to be lined up and shot by the Russian Gov't.
Uh, okay.
There.

- The last 3.5 seasons of DS9 are the best in sci-fi, and I'll fite you with teeth and fists.
A-fucking-men!
Hi folks.
I'm looking for the opportunity to run Demon: The Descent on a fully 2e MU*.
Anyone out there have a game/building a game that might have room for this?
Wasn't sure if this is the right place for it, but Advertisements is for actual games, and this is a pretty catch-all forum
Hit me up on Discord if you're interested in talking - my username is Snaik#4858
Cheers,

Thank you so much, Theno. I'll be in touch next time I have a good amount of time to work at this.
We're trying to implement Theno's lovely cache of code, but speaking as the one trying to do it, I'm running into issues beyond my ken. The tests in each section don't produce passing results for me
Still, tinkering with it as time allows. We'll get there eventually, I hope!

@darc Make it 99 - a Mage should never be quite 100, after all.
Mages = luftballons?
@tnp Does that mean they'll all explode?
As a side note, there are people who may not be able to form groups easily due to things like timezones or shift patterns. I personally love getting a group together to tackle problems, but being in GMT, it's difficult finding a time that suits others without staying up into the early hours of the morning.
+1 for more time needed for solos, I guess is what I'm saying.
Capability? Practice? Facility? Or.. uh, skill?
So, like a whole lot of other people, I make no promise that this is a complete list, memory being what it is and all. But here we go.
Metro v1 & v2 (in no particular order because I don't really recall which were pre- and which were post-reboot)
Alyx (mage), Bethany (demon), Saiwa (vampire), Molly (demon), Melody (garou), Farah (mage), Tristan (ananasi), Kamali (wraith), Sugar (wraith), Tanya (Mortal / Consor), Leah/Bek (vampire).
Shadowed Isles:
Tiffany (corax)
Haunted Memories:
Sophie (changeling), Tian (changeling)
The Reach:
Cate (changeling - Kraken!), Gabe (changeling), Lakshmi (changing breed), Tom (wolfblood).
Darkwater:
Jade (changeling), Sam (wolfblood)
Reno:
Charlie (vampire), Cass (wolfblood)
More to come as I remember them.
