A Cave Story for $11 is much better than X-Com Declassified for free.

You'd have to pay me to play X-Com Declassified.

Like, a free copy of A Cave Story.

I mean you guys are acting like it's Aliens Colonial Marines or something. 😞 It's a decent shooter.

Anyway Yogscast Jingle Jam started today. Pay $35 for at least one game a day, but today they revealed . If this is something you want in on, better to get it quick if last year was any indication, they ran out of some games. #notsponsored.

@insomnia Well. I mean in all fairness it IS the Colonial Marines of X-Com games.

I can't recall if it's been mentioned in this thread previously, but Destiny 2 has trial play available now. Up to level 8.

I meant to put that here, but whatever. Here it is.

            MSB free since 24/3/2018

Speaking of free trials, Monster Hunter world is going to be having a free beta this weekend. PS4 only. It looks pretty!

My opinion, even free this game is not worthwhile. You're better off finding your favorite body part and slamming it in a car door until you have to go to the hospital.

I just got a new tablet. Windows 10 Home, 6GB RAM, 128GB HD, 1.10 up to 2.0ghz processor, 12.3-inch 2736 x 1824 resolution 2K screen. It runs beautifully, and hasn't had any issues running most of my common stuff (which, admittedly, are older games like Bloodlines, RPGs and emulators).

Any suggestions for tablet-friendly games? I have a controller that I can pair with it without much issue. Mostly interested in fighters, 3rd person games, RPGs, tactical games and... anything but a shooter.

@bobotron I know that there is a version of Knights of the Old Republic, the original, that has been converted for tablets. I play it on my Kindle Fire and it is beautiful and works pretty flawlessly.

Has the advantage of also being free on Amazon Underground.

@bobotron Usually I can recommend a whole plethora of games to people but I am not familiar with playing on a tablet so I do not know what might and might not work.

                        So a few recommendations:
For a fighter you could check out One Finger Death Punch, I believe that has controller support.

For RPGs you could try Legend of Grimrock 1 & 2 and Knights of Pen and Paper 1 & 2.

3rd Person action games you could try How to Survive, Grim Dawn, or the Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.

I do not know what to recommend for your other genres since most of those I know use kb+m to work well with.

I don't know if Darkest Dungeon will work, I know they have ipad version though. If it does, that's a great investment.

What I bought has a really good detachable keyboard (same style as an MS Surface, it's what I'm typing on right now), and I have a bluetooth mouse I use when I game on my laptop. I'll look into those suggestions.

I have never played any of the KoTOR games. I'll look into that.

@bobotron If you can add a controller, there are several emulators I could point you to. >.>

Yes please? I was looking at RetroArch at one point, and I have a general NES/SNES/GBA set of emulators already.

Might want to try Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy Tactics, both of which are out for the iPad, but I'm not sure about other tablets.

I've just started this game for PS4, but does anyone have deep experience with Dreadnought?

Do you need to get it through the uplay client? If so, how long is it available? I'm away from my windows machine for a couple days.

You might be able to do it logging onto your Uplay account through their webbrowser. It does not say through the Uplay client how long it is available for.

Looooooks like it worked! (So others are aware: https://free.ubisoft.com/promotions/assassins-creed-black-flag/16/ good through the 18th I do believe.)

I'll be honest, I rarely use the website itself, because no matter how many times I try to change it, they think I'm French.
