PBs You Haven't Had a Chance to Use

@bobotron What happens if you pick a PB whose actress then has a topless scene six months down the line? Do you need to look different now?
The Alexandra Daddario Effect.
-
@coin That sounds like a log title just waiting to happen.

I tend to avoid Rabid Crazy as much as I possibly can. That includes Rabid Crazy staffers who are Rabidly, Crazily against any form of natural humanity. TS/Sex, Nude Played-Bys, whatever.
If you're that triggered by sex and nakedness, who knows what else triggers you. Talking about Jesus/Muhammed/Buddha? Talking about drinking beer while RPing? Mention of your favorite celebrity/author/TV show? Chevy vs Ford vs Toyota? Coke vs Pepsi?
I just don't want anything to do with anyone that is that volatile.

@rook I kinda understand the nudity thing. Most web hosts were pretty fussy about it a ways back and had strongly worded werds about nude images appearing on their sites. Probably a holdover from those days, more than anything else.
-
@surreality
That does not grok, dear. The mentioned policy was about having a PB that could be Google-image-searched and if the staff found/located nudity in other pictures of that PB, you couldn't use them. That image doesn't even have to be uploaded to the game's wiki. It is clearly visible on YouPorn.com, therefore you are banned from using that actor!!!11!1
That's Rabid Crazy, right there. Seriously.
-
@rook Oh lord. As in... 'if a nude image appears of this person anywhere'?
...where is my copy of photoshop again... must stop the spread of all the PeevedBys PlayedBys...
-
On Witchcraft and Wizardry, your PlayedBy images had to be +1/-1 year of your character's IC age.
And yes, they did in fact heavily police this. I knew people who got in trouble for using images outside of the range.

@Auspice
I would argue "She played a 23-year old this year in <movie name>. If it's good enough for movie audiences, it's good enough for MUSH." -

I would argue "She played a 23-year old this year in <movie name>. If it's good enough for movie audiences, it's good enough for MUSH."I think the problem mainly rests with people who try to say someone like, say, Stephen Amell is 23 years old. And while he is quite handsome imo there is no way in hell that he's 23.
Game example: On a game set at a New York state liberal arts college, someone wanted to use Phillip Seymour Hoffman...as a traditional college sophomore. Um, no.
-
Uh... why 'Um no'? I just did a Google image search on that name, realized who you were talking about, and thought to myself: "Why? He looks like a stereotypical liberal arts college sophomore?"
-
Because at the time, the selection was more along the lines of:
-
Here's one I'm saving for a special time. DJ Qualls.
-
As long as the 40-something women can't use 20-something actresses for their PBs, then I guess that this level of PB policing/approval process can make some sort of sense.
(waits, because here it comes)

I am so happy this was a Footloose gif. Because if it wasn't, I was going to reply -- with a Footloose gif.

Found this today in a folder while checking a couple things in a Hunter book.
The file was named USE_THIS_SOMEDAY.

Looks like a Union fella to me.
-
@faceless My money's on 'self-loathing Wolfblooded hunter with prepper tendencies and a lifetime membership to everything Alex Jones'.

Not necessarily my own usage, but: years ago, someone used a very shady-looking picture of Steve Carell as a villainous sort (Technocrat? I think. Though now that I think about it, it might have been Star Wars instead of WoD). I was entranced by the idea and have wanted to see Steve Carell, Technocrat-or-whatever, pop up again. Someone please make it happen.
PS: if that was you, well done for sticking in my head for at least a couple of years.

Some day I am going to make a pretty boy douchebag and I am going to use Ed Skrein
