Considering how many paragraphs of orgasm descriptions and poor-to-pretty-decent smut I had to read and/or skim during my tenure as app staff with two spheres on TR, just sayin’...
I was always the most uncomfortable with the decent smut. Luckily on FC people seem to have run out of smutty background ideas but I'm sure I'll be rewarded tomorrow with a pornographic Changeling durance.

Communists, robots, and Sonders.
All joking aside, we're hacking Promethean and looking at solutions for player engagement that doesn't require staff intervention. I am really really really on this Automation kick. One of the complaints I hear from Staff is the burnout from having to process and handstat applications (our CG as you know is very manual), along with the other weird ticky minutiae that comes with that.
Fallcoast was a pretty rushed job; I'm not proud of that but I was really trying to escape TR and all of the baggage that came with that. There were also some uh.. personality issues that I feel hampered its creation, along with 'Oh yeah, we'll totes get that done soon', and us not doing a good job of writing shit down.
We're hoping to apply a lot of things we've learned and automate things that Staff should never have to touch while building a pretty bitchin' story and framework. With that, I hope to produce one of the "better products" out there so don't write us off just yet.

Pete the Douchey Intern is fine with your dislike. He's enlightened and stuff, brobeans. Wanna buy a placenta?

Pete the Douchey Intern's wiki being lost is probably the saddest part of The Reach's wiki being taken down. Truly.

If you recall, I was working on Fallcoast immediately post-TR, and I kind of said something along the lines of "I feel rushed" regarding setting up the vampire sphere.
I know that the CGen is mostly hand-done, but, to be honest, I prefer that, as a staffer. I will administrate the shit out of every little splat, if that means I don't have to tolerate actual day-to-day contact with people.
Filthy hobbitses.
I think -- I think -- that you may want to strongly consider winnowing down the number of alts per person. Seriously. That will really, really reduce your workload per player.

I will app something just for you then (and then probably never play, but... ), my smut-writing skills have over a year and a half of rust on them.
I have completely lost track of whether this will make me a better person or a truly horrible one.

I still love you no matter how smutty or rusty you are, my dear.

So long as you aren't smutty and rusty. That leads to chafing.

Hacking as in trying to make it more MU friendly or hacking it off? I could try to help with the former and definitely pray it's not the latter.

@catsnake Probably the easiest hack I can think of would be to create a merit that people can purchase. After being exposed to a Promethean and suffering through some Disquiet the PC has simply built up a resistance to Disquiet. It doesn't mean they are completely immune to the feelings but it won't progress past a certain point.
Naturally large portions of the NPC population aren't going to buy it so the Prometheans still have to worry about torches and pitchforks but at least characters who want to will be able to interact with them.
Honestly I'm still not sure I understand the (emotional) purpose of the Wasteland effect and would be tempted to just chuck it. Maybe there's some kind of special thing going on in Miami that prevents it from happening. Maybe you just completely strike it and say it doesn't exist.

I don't see a merit to the Wasteland effect either.

@stabby People ignored the IC weather there most of the time anyways. Lost count to how many times I'd be RPing on a TR/FC beach (Maine beach's are pretty much gravel btw, grr), dealing with somebody doing something stupid down by the ice, and some one shows up to pose in setting up a beach towel and laying down to get a tan... in December. it's 28 degrees out and snowing.
So hey, may as well make the game a generic weather pattern, maybe get people to react to hurricane season. Maybe a couple plots to find Ollie's inside out umbrella.

That's just... stupid. Who the fuck ignores the scene going on before they come in?
-
@tinuviel It happens. Sometimes it's people who just don't care. Sometimes its people who are new and don't quite realize what they are doing.
-
@the-sands Well the former should be shot, and the latter should be educated. Eesh.
-
@Sonder -- you thinking of adding Beast into this new game/reboot? Just curious.

@tinuviel "Youth ages, immaturity is outgrown, ignorance can be educated, and drunkenness sobered, but stupid lasts forever.”
