@alzie Are you still looking for help? Sadly, if I am completely honest with myself, staffing is not my strength. My work schedule is unpredictable so I don't think I can help in an administrative or GM capacity, but I could perhaps help building locations and the like. I also have a great group of friends that might I know would love to play on an L5R MUSH if one gets off the ground.
-
I've been wanting to dip my toe into L5R for a long time, I hope this gets going soon!
-
@scarbearer Could use a builder. I got 2 staffers for admin things. Still working on the code side. Not in too much of a hurry.
-
(I am never going to get tired of this gif)Was this still happening? Especially with the recent publication of the new edition?
-
@jennkryst I suppose it could. I still have all the code on the server.
-
What edition?

It was previously mentioned to be the FFG L5R Beta, but... the FFG L5R RPG is published now, so that might be the thing. OR I could be wrong, not sure what coding has been done.

If skew's SW game is a smashing success code-wise, then you could feasibly run a L5R FFG game if that game'll let you take bits of that code.
And it'd be on Ares.

Maybe? In a twist that should surprise no one, FFG L5R dice are completely different from Genesys/Star Wars dice.
Buuuut I haven't compared symbols on the dice to see if they can directly sub or not.
-
I'm certain @skew would help the transition. He's good with me volunteering him like that.
If I had time anymore, I'd at least look into it for you.

12 Explosive SuccessSuccesses are the usual.
Explosive Success is 1 Success and you roll an additional die and decide if you want to add it to the results.
Opportunity is like Advantage, adds detail.
Strife means emotions are rising, which isn’t necessarily bad.Roll Ring (Stat) rating in Ring Dice and Skill rating in Skill Dice, keep the results a number of dice you want equal to the Ring value being tested.
Tests can require several successes. 1 is easy, 2 successes is average.
No opposition dice, so overall much simpler than Star Wars.

My code is currently for evennia. I'm not opposed to switching to Ares. I mean, i was going to use Ares but when I said I was using it I was told not to use it by Faraday so I didn't.
