@surreality I had read the original article it was based on several years ago, which is probably a large part of why I got around to watching the show. The lead journalist on the article has actually tweeted about being in touch with the RL version of Marie (whose name and identity are still anonymous) and how she watched the whole thing and found it really remarkable and accurate and that parts of it even helped give her a sense of closure.
I think it's a really special piece and, as you said, really important. After having seen so much fetishized and sensationalized sexual violence on film in recent years, it was honestly breathtaking to see it handled so respectfully.
