      To each their own then.

      Interesting is subjective.

Is it me, or was @Lithium's reply dismissive? What is interesting to someone else is one reason I asked for input on mods. The reason Fallout 4 is not "interesting" to me is because it's too flat. Beautifully written when you get into interactions, but those interactions don't really lead you anywhere; they are self-contained and while I don't mind having a character whose motivations are pressed on me, those motivations are left behind once you get out of the starting area and into the wider world. There's no story there, there's just a game. There are smaller stories, and almost all of them are compelling, that's about it. There are few things to invest in.

Even Fallout 3 eases you back to the main plot, even if you choose to ignore it. It reminds you that there is a plot to the game, not just ... things.

That's what I mean by interesting.

I cannot judge what you would find interesting in the way of mods. There's a few seasonal mods out. One that turns the commonwealth into a winter landscape and ices over the lakes and whatnot. Then there's one for summer that adds denser foilage to trees and bushes. But you did mention those.

In the world building sense I know there's a mod that removes the collapsed wall terrain from the castle and a few quality of life mods that makes playing the Sims game easier. I have not played with those so I cannot vouch for them really.

But take a look at what is available at Nexusmods and see if there's anything you like.

Is there a form your own cult mod?

I have a waggish sense of humor.

What do you find are mods that would make the game world more "interesting"? I can decide if I think it's interesting, but I can't start without recommendations. Start from the heart.

I have, myself, found nothing on Nexusmods that I find interesting except the weather and darkness mods. The dialogue mod is also a must-have, because the game suffers from Mass Effect Syndrome where what you select doesn't represent what you'll say. A bizarre decision, to be sure.

One of my favorite mods (and granted, this one is kind of specific to my unique desires when it comes to gameplay) is the one that allows you to order Dance into/out of his power armor without looking like Slenderman. Putting Danse in better power armor pays off in the long run, at least in my opinion, and sometimes that power armor isn't what you want him to be in for specific situations, especially if you tend to play a more Roguelike character.

Racism isn't Tinkerbell. It doesn't need you to believe in it for it to exist.

@Thenomain I wasn't trying to be dismissive, I was trying to avoid another potential conflict. I don't find Fallout 4 to be uninteresting. The storyline with the Synths is very interesting to me, Valentine's side quests, discovering that lore, digging into the past of the game is what interests me. The mods I use, are weather and environmental mods, along with the mod to remove level limits on gear so everything is in use by the bad guys from the beginning which is more exciting to me. I delve heavily into trying to get /every/ settlement as high in happiness as I can, I explore everything I run across because I never know if I'll find another holotape to listen to or notes to read. Even going into some raider dens and reading about their trying to get 'The Sight' just is more immersive to me and I find the whole game interesting.

You apparently do not find those same things interesting, so I am at a loss as to what to suggest that would make it more interesting for you.

I find the better settlers mod to be interesting, the mods for the updated or different companion appearances, and once their are Vertibirds in the air just watching the world do it's thing is incredible to me. I like to try and race to the fight to see if I can help, or at least see if anything interesting dropped before the Vertibird gets shot out of the sky or all the enemy is killed.

I take Aquagirl at level 2 so I can explore the water without drowning, without radiation, and without being jumped by baddies. I look for the giant monsters, and I experiment with different tactics.

I use the VATS mod that (somewhat) causes VATS to stop everything from moving (it doesn't work perfectly but better than the way it was originally) so I don't have to try and treat it like a first person shooter to terribly much. I try not to get shot by using cover, cuz cover does work. There's also a mod that removes the spam throwing of grenades by the enemy cuz that shit is cray and annoying, being spammed with molotov cocktails is annoying.

That's what I do, and the game is plenty interesting and fun to me.

These are the mods I've most recently found that I enjoy the most, besides the winter weatherscape mod and the dialogue mod:

                      Game Alteration/Quality of Life Mods:

                      Hardcore Mode - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10399/?

                      Satellite World Map - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8989/?

                      Companions V2 - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8975/?

                      For Player Settlement Management:

                      Where Did I Put That? - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10271/?

                      Build A Castle - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9044/?

I saw a mod that puts Bioshock design textures into the game from Infinity, but I have not played with it. To do a real flying settlement you'd probably need the mod that removes the ceiling caps at some of the settlement locations.

                      Cosmetic Appeal:

After The Fallout Texture Overhaul - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7803/?

The Rebel Clothing Set - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10382/?

NCE Ranger Veteran Armor - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9034/?

                      New Weapon:

                      M9 Pistol - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8421/?

                      M9 Pistol Grips- http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8792/?

I have played with a few other of the new weapon mods out there - a gatling laser rifle for example, and a couple of other New Vegas imported rifles but this one is the best overall to me because it makes better use of my horde of .38 ammo laying around.

I am in a bind in this game now.

The only way I can get Covenant on my side at this point is killing everyone... but their engineer is adorable and I would rather not murder her by tossing an artillery beacon over the wall like some kind of monster...

But I would rather like to get a hold of that town.

                          Suggestions?

Stockton's daughter stepped on a mine on her way out in my game as well... didn't really see any synth parts on looting her corpse.

If you're missing an item, you can always use console commands to get it, or advance the quest stage. It's not like you wouldn't have done it legit if you could.

That was more a comment related to the page you linked sorry. They state she's a synth... but she wasn't one in my game.

Wonder if it's randomly generated to make for some ambiguity.

                                    So I lost Paladin Danse.

So I wandered around where I left him, looking all over the place, and didn't find him.

So I built the bell to ring and bring everyone by to find him, and he wasn't there.

So I looked up his code and had him teleport to me and he wasn't there.

So I did something in that settlement and he liked it, though he wasn't there.

So I went outside all settlements and had him teleport to me and he wasn't there.

And I ran into him much later, after swearing at the game, as a part of a plot I wasn't warned about.

I kind of hate this game.

You know one thing that used to happen in pretty much... EVERYFUCKING GAME EVER that had party members if they didn't see you for a period of time they'd go back to where you first found them.
