                I was able to meet Ron at a Con a few years ago and he was such a delightful and pleasant man, in my experience. There are many shows I remember growing up watching him in - my parents used to watch Barney Miller and I enjoyed Rhythm and Blues, and of course Firefly.

                  The second season of Firefly can still happen. They can have him leave the ship to travel and spread the 'good word' or something like that. But, of course, I don't think it'd really be the same show without Serenity's moral compass.

                      I think the idea was to have the second season take place before Serenity, so Wash could come back.

                        Sometimes you have to look at the time passed and the age of the actors and not do something based on that.
