      • Every year, The Compact shall appoint 6 citizens from each Society to act as enforcers of the Compact among their own.
      • Members of any Society may be blacklisted by a majority vote of that societies Enforcers, or a 2/3 majority of all enforcers.

Just a quick math related nitpick, with a voting pool of six a simple majority is already a two thirds majority since the smallest majority would be 4-2 which is also a two thirds majority since 3-3 would lack any majority.

Five Compacts, 30 Enforcers. You can be Blacklisted by a vote of 4 of 6 of your Societies Enforcers, or 20 of the 30 overall Enforcers.

I have a waggish sense of humor.

Yes, though in both cases it is a two thirds majority needed. 4/6 = 20/30 = 2/3. I just think it is weird to call one a majority and mention the need for the second to be a two thirds majority when both in practice have to be two thirds majorities.
Making the statement read that someone could be blacked listed by either a 2/3 majority of their societies enforcers or the enforcers as a whole would not chance how things function and not set up the mindset that the votes needed a different margin when they do not.

Could be an oversight, could be a way to say that if you are missing an Enforcer, or judging them, 3 of 5 is good enough.

My reading was focused on the idea that your own small group could easily oust you, while the overall society would be pressed to oust someone where their Compact didn't want to.

I have a waggish sense of humor.

I get that was the intent, the main reason I made my first comment was to show that to not be the case though, barring an enforcer not voting as you point out.
Easiest solution would be to go with either 5 or 7 enforcers per group since that brings the simple majority into play making one vote substantially easier than the other, not to mention avoiding any tie votes on other matters if the enforcers ever have other matters to vote on.

I don't know much about it, but I've always wanted to try Beast.

There will not be a "and then suddenly, faeries" type situation.

Awww, but that worked so well for True Blood.

                  (/s, obviously.)

Hey, it isn't True Blood's fault that WoD blew past the release date for Changeling then Anna Paquin applied to have her character retroactively be faeblooded. These things just happen and you adjust as best you can.

                  By adding werewolves.

Is there any particular reason for the departure away from Beast and it's inclusion to your game? If so, what was it?

The primary reason is no one I want on my team has even read it, and to quote an anonymous player, "The people that really like Beast make me not want to check out Beast".

I don't have any strong opinion on it beyond "not for me" but the lack of specialists made it die off. Honestly, if I didn't have such a mental hard-on for Promethean, it would likely be in the same boat.

If you ever get the chance to read or browse the book, you might really enjoy it. I'd advise you to not let other people's enjoyment of it be the deterrent. Seems like a solid book without a lot of trouble in utilizing. 🙂

Thank you for your honesty and candor, though. Can't wait to see future updates.

Man, that shit turned out to not be that bad! We figured it out! Sort of! It helped when we realized that Alembic Distillations were actually consecutive, just without dot values (for some stupid reason).

                                      Brief update:

I wanted to share how we are designing each of our spheres at the moment. For each gameline, we are working to answer the following questions:

Faction representing them on the Vegas Compact - Their setting-level social group
Primary Theme - What we want that gameline to express and experience
Primary Antagonist - The major antagonistic group for that game.
Secondary Antagonist - A less prevalent but still present and long term antagonist
Local Twist - How that game works slightly different in the Mojave
Gameline Aspiration - A general "Goal" for that game to work towards
Game Over - A situation that, if it results, will render that gameline having a Very Bad Time
Proposed Population Limit - How many PCs will be allowed
Proposed House Rules - Possible Rules issues to be addressed
Unique XP - What sort of game-specific XP will they use
Unique Aspiration - What sort of game-specific aspiration will be available?

To my knowledge, the only one of these completed is Promethean, because I just finished it. I can share if anyone wants, aside from some things which are to be REDACTED.

@tragedyjones Another thing you may want to look at is gameline-specific breaking points for minor templates, for those splats that have them. I was working with that idea for 7D in that minor template players would need to take at least one breaking point specific to their role as a minor template. Some have this built in to some extent (vampire), but not all. All this would really entail is a list of examples to give people ideas.

                                        Oh fucking well.

Here is what I can share:

                                            All sinners, a future
                                            All saints, a past
                                            Beginning, the ending
                                            Return to ash

                                            Faction: The Hopeful Few

Since 1936, the Created have been more populous in Las Vegas than in many areas. Scholars and Savants have studied this phenomena, with various theories and little fact. However, the unyielding factor that the area in the Mojave allows for the Created to exist in, to them, more relative comfort. After a Throng moved into the area, migrating from the creation of the Hoover Dam and the new flood of people, they uncovered this phenomena, but had no immediate plans to stay for more than a few weeks. However, other throngs arrived, and soon there were over a dozen Created living in the area around the city of Las Vegas. One of them, a Muse on the Refinement of Quicksilver named Angela, proposed that they had found a possible homeland or significant place of Elpis. She brought the two throngs together in a meeting and formed The Hopeful Few, a loose coalition of Created in the area to manage their growing population. Angela believed that Las Vegas was a possible homeland for the Created, even believing that it is where Elpis - the personification of hope and possibly an Arch-Qashmal, had once come to this area.

By the late 1940s, many Created had come into contact with other members of the supernatural community in Las Vegas, which, when the various Societies came together, they spoke to the others, and asked to be included in this. Since the signing of the Vegas Compact, the Prometheans have been a part.

Theme: Life ain’t always beautiful, but it’s a beautiful ride.
To live is to feel - pain, pleasure, surprise. Being human is a noble goal, with all the strengths and weaknesses it entails. The Created are not dead, but they aren’t human either. Not yet. But they can be, the Divine Fire that burns within them whispers this. The memory within Azoth tells them.

                                            Primary Antagonist: REDACTED

                                            Secondary Antagonist: The Neverborn
Not every Created who noticed the relative ‘safety’ of Las Vegas is walking the Pilgrimage. Those on the Path of Flux have noticed, and gathered into small, feral packs of monsters who roam the desert and the back alleys, making alliances with other, stranger creatures...

                                            Local Twist: REDACTED
REDACTED draws energy from any large Wasteland, stopping them from being larger than Azoth 6. If they would grow larger, they immediately turn to a Firestorm. Further, all Wastelands fade significantly faster, at the following rate:
                                            1 - 1 Day
                                            2 - 3 Days
                                            3 - 1 Week
                                            4 - 2 Weeks

                                            Gameline Aspiration:
If the Created can learn the truth about what is happening in Las Vegas, in regards to the REDACTED and the REDACTED, they can keep the amount of energy in the area, and, eventually, reality itself, to a stable limit and stop the REDACTED.

                                            Game Over:
If REDACTED eventually unlock the secret of the Divine Fire. Once this is done, REDACTED will begin to drain Pyros and convert it REDACTED, causing the ability to regenerate Pyros to suffer and eventually cease.

                                            Unique Aspiration: Animations
Animations work as a special Long Term aspiration based on the Promethean’s current role.

Proposed Population Limit: The sphere should compose of no more than 24 Created at any time.
