@buttercup Well, now you've learned, and since you know, you better watch out for him. Don't believe a word he says, OOCly. He's a compulsory liar and someone who needs to compensate his real life with his online presence, so he does the things he does.
Here's hoping that Arx's staff takes this complaint seriously and does something about him.

Oh, I agree. I was familiar with Custodius' reputation, but wouldn't have known he was Max without this thread. It's helped me in how I approach the game and made his shenanigans more obvious, and I am grateful for the community here in that. Forewarned is forearmed. It's just incredibly frustrating to see so many players, many of whom (frankly) are simply less jaded and more willing to give people second/third/fourth/umpteen chances than I am drawn into his web of manipulative bullshit.

Nah, it isn't the plague. It's cancer. And cancer infected Thrax, and is going to get metastastic unless it gets cut off.

Custodius running plots is generally where things get bad, he runs decent plots, but they are all ultimately about favoring his character and furthering their agenda and if you confront him about it he professes complete ignorant no matter how ridiculous. I think the worst I ran into was on Vargo.
His main character sent the character of his RL wife on a quest! He then tried to run said adventure as his alt and was adamant that this was not at all biased, he spent weeks whining and wheedling and complaining when I shot him down and said that no, he was not allowed to do that.

I have no logs. But as I gather it: dude was harassing at least one female character, got banned. Dude immediately started logging back on through VPN and paging Apostate with juvenile insults, including the one referenced above, because dude clearly has not got a lot of imagination. Decided to come here and post his witty bon mot for...some reason. End of story, I'd expect.

My alarm bells went off when I inquired about a disagreement he had with a member of Redrain, and he responded that "Redrain only RPs with characters who have a cyber-slit".
Or some such equivalent. Really, it's the word "cyber-slit" that was the point of that classy sentiment. After that, I pretty much did my best to avoid him.
