@Arkandel I can tell you that Ashford has several super cool players! I haven't played with the newest Harlan (head of the house) but I can tell you that Aislin, Cara, and Killian are all good folk.
Seconded.
-
@Roz thirded. Well, I don't know Killian, but the other two are pretty cool.

I am idly working on a Courtesan if anyone wants to throw ideas and such at me.
TS so unholy it scorches the eyes of the gods and causes demons weep in joy, knowing the sin we have committed has forever damned every soul in existence.
We can pretend that you're trying to earn my trust learn my secrets so we can maintain that we're playing for the plot.
-
@Goyim No need to save that for a courtesan character, as they aren't sex workers. There are no sex workers. Everyone is free to have all the sex they want, so there's no need to make it any poor soul's job.
-
DOUBLE POST oh god sue me.
(please don't sue me, I'm not rich)
I am however, amused that our "L&L" game has been open for 2.5 months in beta, with full plot and GMing barreling forward...and no marriages at all. Our first marriage MIGHT be about to happen, and it's a commoner marriage.
-
Lots of betrothals and such, though.
-
Or the fear of commitment.

Just you wait, Henry Higgins, just you wait.
-
@Kanye-Qwest Listen, maybe if you stopped excommunicating people with marriage plans!
-
Now I feel bad for probably breaking the streak. -.- Though they're not the commoners in question.
-
I have the feeling they're all going to happen all at once.
-
I'm actually not surprised to see any weddings yet. People generally want to get a good feel for another player before they hitch their wagon to them, and then the IC stars also have to align.
-
I've been playing for about two months or so. Picked a character randomly that I liked the general premise of and the name. Once I got in took a peek at their secrets and it was pretty cool. Nothing like "YOU ARE ACTUALLY A BASTARD NOBLE OR SON OF A GOD." But certainly a lot there.
I knew I would love it here when in my first GM scene that I just walked into, without any prompting from myself, the GM paged me some pretty pertinent information that only my character would know and really shaped the direction of my RP.

Yeah, how dare you get married. Yuck.

Aw, thank you. We try!
(I'm feeling a little bad, though; I haven't had a chance to throw as many RP hooks as I usually do to Rainier or Maude yet. I've been digging through Aislin's scene backlog.)
-
Okay, decided to give Arx another shot so getting into some RP would be great. Give Jasher a page if you'd like.
-
@TNP Welcome back! I came back to the game myself about a month ago and am having a blast. There's a lot of things to get involved in right from the start.
-
-
@Roz It was pure chance that I saw him. I was just randomly clicking on male characters and he was the only one of those written to be gay. I don't know if there's any others but that, combined with the rest of his write up, was enough to hook me.
-
@TNP I don't know of any other roster characters I've noticed with a declared sexuality written in -- I imagine most are open for player interpretation. But I probably have thoroughly read each and every roster.
