You know, for some reason I kept reading "DC Heroes RPG" here as the 3rd ed. M&M "DC Adventures" RPG. I did not realize that there was an old, different RPG that the MUX was using instead.

I have to say that I really like the environment and the player base, even if my involvement has been weak as of late due to getting hit over the head by illness. The main reason I've disappeared for a bit was because, for a while, I was basically on the edge of pneumonia.
But I'm recovering! I should be back into fighting shape soon.

Just bumping the ad. We're still alive and trucking along. We've hit a bit of a player slump but the good news is that means there are a bunch of new characters open for application. I've also tried to make the process of claiming previously played characters.
We're also at the beginning of a global plot designed to shake things up a bit so now is a great time to come check us out!

I read in another thread that DC Rebirth was "dead as fuck". I just thought I'd comment on that here so that the idea that we're dead isn't just hanging out there in the universe.
We are currently suffering from low login numbers to be sure but we aren't dead. We have regular RP going on all the time with several plot threads being explored by a number of players. I won't say it's been an easy ride since opening (we've had some small problems with RP cliques and our wiki is currently under assault by web spammers) but we are still chugging right along.
We do have the occasional guest or player log on, issue a single command (I'm assuming it's WHO), and then log off. I'm guessing when they don't see 30 or 40 people on they assume we're "dead as fuck" and decide to leave. Fair enough but there is RP to be had for those who want it . We also have a number of FCs that have either idled out or are about to idle out so if you're interested in DC RP now would be a good time to check us out and possibly join "wave 2" of DC Rebirth.

I tried this, and it seemed ok with decent folks in general but doesn't work for my time frames... but most games don't anymore to be completely honest.

Yeah, that catch-22 can be nasty.
If you want to break out of it you could try word of mouth... for example set up a big event, make sure your GMs are present, offer an incentive for new rolls over a weekend then try to get players to give you a try in order to hit critical mass.

Decided to give DC Rebirth a try. So far, I like it, the only issue is the previously mentioned activity. What RP I've gotten so far has been wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing more, and hope more folks come in. Application was really easy, staff was very helpful, and the playerbase has been mostly welcoming! I just hope there's more RP soon.

Thought I'd post an available character update. We had a bunch of characters idle out this past week. Here's a snapshot of our available +roster characters. These aren't the only available characters these are just the easiest to apply for as their +sheets come pre-filled out.
We are in a bit of a player slump so if you're looking for a place with 20+ regular player connections we're probably not the place for you. We do have active RP going on and we're working on some plots to spark interest and maybe turn things on their heads a little bit, however.
The advantage of a player slump, however, is that there are some great characters available for application if you don't mind a more laid back atmosphere. We really do have a great bunch of people at our core and, hopefully, things will be picking up very soon.

I was mad when DC killed of Vic and made Renee the Question.
The Question was/is my favorite character. I even used to MU Vic back on Brave and the Bold.
