@Meg Fair enough, no love lost. Especially if she's still behaving in ways that make people wanna avoid her. Current behavior is just where I set the stance.
I've had some mega fallout moments with a few people over the years and, after giving them a second chance (or vice versa) and talking things over, things turned out pretty well. So I like to always leave some kind of crack in the door, because if there's no one to RP with, then why bother?
Just my stance on things, but if anyone misbehaves, whatevs, boot to ass
Edit: In all fairness, she is one of maybe 4 reasons the FC Changeling sphere got wrecked so early on. Being there for that sucked.

@Auspice Fuck yeah, homie

Anybody who wants to give VASpider a chance to reform is welcome to do it -- on their game. Their time, their money, their investment, their time spent building trust amongst their playerbase, their risk. It's just a risk that has the potential to fuck over all those other players who trusted them, in addition to losing all the time and money invested in their project if she hasn't really reformed.
I'm not willing to count on someone who just pulls a persecution act and behaves abominably as a matter of course, and does not see any fault in their actions beyond the most fickle lip service to the notion, having seen the light.
I wouldn't take that risk on her, not only because I don't feel like wasting my time to build something I find cool only to have it scragged by a crazy person, but because the risk wouldn't be exclusively mine, and would also be shared by all the other players who chose to trust in the project to participate. The latter is a considerably bigger issue but the former alone would be more than enough for me to nope the shit out of knowingly allowing her on anything I ever run, if I ever decide to pick stuff up again.
I will also be incredibly pissed if staff on FH get screwed over because they trusted her, because they put a lot of time and effort into this place from what I've heard.
I simply do not believe in allowing a repeat offender to keep shitting all over that kind of effort, and claiming they just can't help themselves because they have <laundry list of medical symptoms that mean they're an explosive diarrhea factory at all times>.

I have no horse in this race. If Gisa is spider, she is behaving herself, and that's all I care about.
But can we maybe take Spider related anecdotes to a different thread so we can maybe focus on the game as a whole in this one, please and thank you? I'm sure if people really care they can follow it there.

Well spoken. Thank you.

I would say that we kept her balanced on Haunted Memories in Changeling since we had a lot to do and intelligent players, but I see that as the exception.
edit: Once when she was 'elected' Queen of Autumn, about a third of the active Freehold walked out on her Crowning. Okay, about a third of the Freehold walked out on everyone's Crowning. It's very hard to be a leader when a majority of your flock willfully ignore you. I don't think any of us sabotaged her Season rule, though. None of us went that far. I don't think any, or certainly not many, of us wanted to sabotage the game to spite anyone else. I may not have agreed with or sometimes didn't like a bunch of you, but I respected the effort everyone put in. I think we all did, when the smoke cleared.

If you think she was balanced in Changeling, you neglected to notice the 900+xp she managed to accrue over the course of about 6 months by blatantly abusing the prp system. You failed to notice how she completely took over Autumn, driving out anyone she didn't want there (and some people she DID but who finally got wise to her shit). You failed to notice that the sphere hit one of its lowest points in activity when she took 'office' because literally nobody wanted to deal with her. Dude. She drove away Baron. That guy was chill personified. She still managed to chase him off with her batshit crazy. Staff still did nothing. To my recollection, she wasn't even ever actually banned from HM's Changeling sphere, she just stopped playing because she'd sucked it dry and there was nobody left for her to fuck over in pursuit of her own fun.

This conversation is great and all, but it's now two pages deep about a single player, and not about the game.
So I have created a new thread in the Hog Pit where you can bitch about Spider and share stories or whatever to your heart's content, and we can get back to talking about the game as a whole.
Thanks.
Derp, aka K2, Fate's Harvest Staffer.

By balanced, I mean by the other people in the sphere. She did not succeed in the kind of power-grab that she's accused of doing on other games.
Dude. She drove away Baron. That guy was chill personified.
Baron's player was and still is an intelligent adult who knows his limitations and well knows others, regularly before they know themselves. He worked closely with her to plan and execute the War On Arcadia, which I doubt he would have done if she truly drove him off. He may have needed a break from her. God knows he needed a break from me.
If this happened afterwards, a lot of us stopped playing after the War. This happens on a lot of games when something so emotionally involving becomes emotionally draining and people need a break. So many people taking a break drains the game, which is why on the whole I don't think Big Epic Wars Involving Everyone are good ideas on games. (Firan was kind of an exception as BEWIE were a foundation of the plot.
Well, I stopped playing because my character died of Fluke Dice and I couldn't get back into the game. I watched the dinos leave, and who was left didn't have the same heart and drive that we did.
I know you have a hate-on for Spider, but I saw her far less problematic on HM than I have anywhere else.

I have created a new thread in the Hog Pit
I don't read the Hog Pit. I try to have my discussions with a minimum of shit-flinging and a maximum of discussion, even if that topic sparks passion. This will die down soon, I'm sure.

And that makes crap-talking a player in a game's advertisement thread appropriate... how, exactly? There is a place for that. Ad threads are not the place for that. Please stop, and take it to where it's appropriate. We aren't even supposed to badmouth a -game- in the Ad Thread, from what I've seen about Fallen World's, because it detracts from the overall point of the topic. The Hog Pit exists for a reason. I don't care how much academia is involved with the conversation, it's still a Hog Pit topic.

@Thenomain You're absolutely right in one respect. She did not manage the wholesale takeover that she did on TR. She could have, only she made (as Bond movies love to say) a fatal error. She pissed off Loki and Koi too early. Call it her learning experience. She got better after that.
And my 'hate on' as you call it? Is having watched her across a number of years become the lynchpin that brings a sphere crashing to the ground. She's not a 'game killer' or even necessarily a 'sphere killer'. I can't recall a single time her BS has actually killed anything. Even on TR, the spheres limped along and recovered after she was finally booted. But she is someone who can single-handedly drive away the players you want to keep while simultaneously filling it with her mouth-breathing sycophants (and yes, we were ALL there at some point. Me. You. Bobby Joe. That weird guy down the street who smells like cheese. All of us have taken a whirl on the 'Spider apologist/defender/whatever' train. I could make an utterly terrible town bike analogy, but I'll refrain) and sucking the life and fun out of a sphere until it hits a point where she looks around and realizes there's nobody else watching her be 'awesome'.
HM? That was her test run. So yes, she couldn't pull what she did on TR. But it wasn't any of us that prevented it. You can thank Loki for that one. There was no ingratiating back in at that point. After she'd pissed those two off, she had nowhere else to go because Loki and Koi were the end all/be all in staffing. And even they never actually banned her. They just let her linger on like some malignant tumor until TR opened and she went off to fresh hunting grounds. But.. since you left pretty quickly after the war, I don't expect you to remember any of this. You weren't there for it, after all.

I think I'm banned from Hog Pit, since I don't see it. But I kind of don't want to be in a toxic wasteland anyway.

You'd have to ask someone who is.
Maybe what you mean is: "Hey, guys, this is an Advertisement thread and we'd like to keep it about the game as much as possible." And less, "You're shit-talking because I say so which makes you not okay, and therefore I get to call you names because you started it, and by the way this is an Advertisement thread."
Now is the above crap-talking, or am I responding equivocally to someone who is bringing insults to a thread where they say insults are happening? It's the latter. Like I said, it will die down shortly. I was pulling Miss Demeanor off this thread with PMs, but if you're going to make me the bad-guy then this mirror here should help identify everyone involved in perpetuating this tangent.
In the meantime, what's been going down lately on this game? I still cannot come up with a concept to save my life.

I want to come back, but I'm finding that there's at least one player that I viscerally cannot stand, and to the point where I feel like the emotions and behaviors they invoke in me are not enjoyable or pleasant or right. They aren't doing anything wrong per se, just exhibiting patterns of behavior I've watched ad nauseam over a variety of games that level hard against my tolerance for bullshit.
I'm a little bit angry that I have to weigh my desire to enjoy the game against the response this player elicits from me.
Edited to add: No, it's not Spider.

@Cupcake Well, chances are that person is on every other game like everyone else is.
