Dragonlance?

Are there any active games out there based on the Dragonlance novels? I used to play on one but it's long since folded. Really liked that genre.

I f'n wish, man. I'd kill for a Dragonlance game.

:performs the sing-song lure of Spelljammer, to have ALL D&D settings, simultaneously.

Except Dark Sun,the best AD&D setting of them all.

We had Dark Sun AND Ravenloft in our Spelljammer game.

Out of curiosity, how'd you handle Ravneloft?

Well that's against the rules, cuz Dark Sun isn't in a Crystal Sphere, however, altering book rules to make a game more fun? That gets a thumbs up every time.

Less Crystal Spheres, more Trek. Also ships that could land on land.
Ravenloft usually involved the Mists kidnapping everyone, and having to sort that shit out.
 -

@jennkryst Ravenloft can kidnap anyone from anywhere. I believe there was even a Domain that was ruled by the head Templar of a sleeping dragon/sorcerer queen from Dark Sun due to that.
 -

@lithium Indeed. The Mists of Ravenloft. If they are extra spooky, they will hide inside normal clouds or fog.
 -

Getting into Ravenloft is never the difficult part...

It seems, from this thread and another (or two?), that people are thinking about D&D RPG settings. Too bad that we cannot do polls on the forum to get a feel of various setting interests.
 -

@rook I think part of it is while we /love/ the setting, there is a lot to be desired when trying to convert D&D to a text based format, at least, in whole cloth... hmm... I just got an idea...
 -

@lithium
Start a new thread for your idea? -

@rook Nah not worth a new thread yet. Will see where the code goes first

 -

I wasn't thinking anything with dice code or anything, of course. I've played on a few SAGA-based Star Wars games and would rather stick a fork in my eye than go through that again.
Just the setting with the political and social interactions.
 -

Ooh. I would be down for either of those. Dark Sun / Ravenloft, make it happen!
 -

I'd been thinking of doing up a game inspired by Ravenloft, Bloodborne, and Innistrad using Savage Worlds and this makes me consider it even more.

What happened to the old Dragonlance game? I only remember one, where nobody knew your name until you told them, otherwise you would just appear as 'a fat dwarf' or whatever your generic 1-liner desc was. It was really fun from what I remember. It had like months-long campaigns that were changed over and most folks got different characters.

Owner shut it down, I believe, when life became too much or the game became too much, cannot remember.
