I am grumpy. Short check and lots of bills means that I can pretty much afford to make one grownup thing this week -- pasta aglio e olio. Which is really just a fancy name for something dead simple. Pasta, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, parsley, salt, pepper, lemon juice. Easy.
On the upside, it is delicious.
On the downside, it sits in my stomach like a lead ball.
I rarely make pasta, but it's dirt cheap, and while rocking a whopping $3.27 in my bank account, that's gonna be about the only option.
Ugh. Friday cannot come fast enough.

This is my go-to at those times. It's still pasta, but it's super delicious and a bit lighter than most.

Physically, the setup/breakdown is murder. We have to find a better way, and I keep looking for one. Seems like that's going to have to be a higher priority this year. We're leaps and bounds better than how things were before the business got handed off to me to manage, but there's a ways to go yet.
The folks in our room were all awesome, so even though there were few people attending, we kept ourselves entertained.
Still... I am totally out of my ability to people for a day or two.

Someone recently gave me a baby spiderplant off of their plant.
This thing is going to die because one of my cats keeps uprooting it from its pot. They don't even do anything with it. They just yank it out and leave it next to the pot for me to find.

Today just sucks out loud. Two different jobs telling me that I'm not good enough. I found out it is possible to have a screamin' demon panic attack while so exhausted you can't even speak.
My brain: exhausted, you should sleep.

I had to finally take mine to school and keep them there, and then over the summer I yell at them to LEAVE THEM ALONE.

I'd almost feel better if they did run off with it and chew it down to a nub. Then it'd feel less like a slight against me.

There's two of them. A bigger one and a smaller one.
They only pull out the bigger one.
And they drop it in the same place every time.
I wish I knew which one of them did it.
There's a 'usual suspect' when it comes to bad kitty behavior, but he's not the one I keep catching chewing on the plant.

I'd kill for some pasta aglia e olio. It's an everything soup. Carrots, peas, potatoes, chicken, sausage, other assorted leftovers as necessary.
