Good or New Movies Review

@Wretched JESUS CHRIST. That's about as egregious as a Cinnabon.
Come one, come all, break out your pickaxes and caribeaners; it's time to climb SIMPLE CARBOHYDRATE MOUNTAIN

Any treat covered in hot sugar cum can only be considered egregious.

@Ghost We're jsut standing there waiting to be seated with a pizza box pretzel, which there was no casual and subtle way to hold.
Like 'Yup, Endgame is 3 hours we might starve to death.' I just wanted to buy my wife a damned soft pretzel,, but NoooOoo, we need 'Bites' and 'fuckit I'm dying of a heart attack at 42 anyway' instead of the simple fucking normal sized soft pretzel.

@Ganymede Hey baby, you wanna be my 'egregious treat'

Yes. Alamo Draft house. And I live near the original motherfuckers. (Not like the original original where they'd show art flicks, but the very first one they opened when they became a legit movie theater). Anyway, they're now a chain and have theaters here and there nationwide (Austin just happens to be where they have the most).
I love em. They have themed menus for releases and the clip show they show before the movie is always custom cut to be themed for the film. It's really a movie lover's movie house.
Aaaaanyway: I loved John Wick 3. It was way better than 2 imo and yeah it has a lot of humor but I loved it anyway and it has me excited already for 4. But. I love action movies anyway.

Aladdin was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I actually enjoyed it.

People are out of their fucking minds for giving Godzilla a low Rotten Tomatos score.
Out. Of. They. Minds.

Mothra, Queen of the Monsters, is my new Goddess.
All hail!

Mosuuuuraaaaaaaa Queen of the Monsters.
Mosura was majestic as hell, and they properly channeled the savage nobility of Gojira. I simply don't get why this movie isn't being touted as an extremely solid entry in the series.
I think it was the best Gojira story since Godzilla 2000.

RE: Godzilla
Everyone I talk to who has seen it loves it. The people I've spoken to who haven't liked it are not fans of the genre so I'm not sure why they're investing time and energy into it at all.

My boy looking amazing instead of like a guy in a rubber chicken suit. Seeing my childhood monsters as they were meant to be in my child's mind was the purest kind of joy. Mothra was beautiful. Ghidorah moved gorgeously. Big G was splendid.

Come on now, it wasn't that bad back in the day...

@Ghost
The consistent reasoning I'm finding is because the lack of storyline and better developed human characters.Which leaves me thinking, "It's a kaiju movie. Fuck the humans."
The movie was great as it was.

@Jaded I can kinda understand the complaint about Ziyi Zhang (a Chinese woman) playing the "Mosurrrraaaaaaaa" twins (who are famously a couple of Japanese girls), but the incorporation of the Mothra theme song into the soundtrack was amazing, and so was Ken Watanabe.
I remember reading something about Godzilla (2014) where Ken said that it was important for him to not say "Godzilla" as his lines. He said "Gojira", because not a lot of westerners understand that "Gojira" isn't some ESL dubbed Japanese guy failing to say "Godzilla". No. In Japan "Gojira" is his name, as are Mosura, Ghidorah, Rodan, etc.
I pretty much like everything Ken Watanabe is done; that dude is fantastic on and off-screen.

It worked for The Shape of Water so you may be onto something, but the logistics concern me.

It's almost like humans can't stand it when there's a movie focused on something other than humans.
Except Wall-E was reviewed very highly.

@Ganymede
Which funny enough I thought both Shape of Water and Wall-E were just bad movies. Which could just be me.On the other hand, I enjoy monster movies where great swathes of the human population get wiped out. Go go Godzilla.
