People Who Want to RP With Other People
-
This keeps getting mentioned a lot, where someone says 'I'm down to play! Page me any time!' but other than @Ganymede, I get confused on who says this. So why not start a listy list. I'll edit the top post to keep the concise info even! Maybe I'll make a spreadsheet. Bitches love spreadsheets.
By Right of Blood
@Ganymede DanEldritch
@Arkandel Daniel 'Thugbear' (Specifically 20:00 and midnight EST)From the Ashes
@Sunny RaeKushiel's Debut Lords and ladies BDSM/low supernatural game
@Sunny EmmaReno
@Cobaltasaurus Giosetta, Malin
@Ganymede Max
@icanbeyourmuse MikaelaSafe Haven Harbor
@Arkandel Adrian
@icanbeyourmuse KennaThe Reach
@Cobaltasaurus Libby
@Ganymede Clarice, Ripley, Mark
@icanbeyourmuse Mainly NickyWildcard
@Cobaltasaurus Pluckytart, NPCs, Lamia
@icanbeyourmuse Selene -
@Luna Some places have flags for this; on Reach the WantRP flag is (was?) supposed to mean exactly that. (@Arkandel's idea iirc)
Expanding that to more places seems like a good idea.

I think you're kind of missing the point. I meant it to be inclusive of here and people from here, so I know who I'm paging. Not some rando with a want rp flag, which is cool and all, but say I really like someone's style and think they're cool. I know them, the know me, we know what's what. Also, I have no power as to what people code on their game.

Well, here's my listy-list.
On the Reach: Clarice; Ripley (still re-specing); and Mark (well, soon to be)
On Reno: Max
On By Right of Blood: Dan (still working to finish him up) -
Currently:
Wildcard: Pluckytart, the NPCs, and Lamia.
Reno: Giosetta, Malin.
TR: Libby (meh) -
Public game wise right now, I am:
Emma@Kushiel's Debut
Rae@From the Ashes (still in creation stage)I'm always down for RP and pulling people in and all of that. I'm not really running plots currently because Amber and Victoriana are eating my ST brain, but I do tend to generate a lot of RP for people.

@Cobaltasaurus That makes me sad. It's pretty much an amazing game. I don't have enough good words to describe the place, but I've been pretty consistently impressed. Boo for flaking. You know some people don't care though. You could always ask. Though I don't know how hard you flaked on it.

I think I tried Kushiel's Debut. Or some Kushiel game. The players weren't welcoming nor were staff. At least towards someone who has never read the books. I was gonna try it out because a friend was there.
My current chars:
Reno: Mikaela
TR: Mainly Nicky
SHH: Kenna
Wildcard: Selene (Still working on her. Been so lazy) -
I'm picky. Because I tend to eschew large scenes, or at least starting out in them (if they happen they happen) I tend to browse wikis or just snoop on what people say about themselves on channels and then when I find someone that I think seems they'll be interesting to play a scene with I make up a bit of nonsense to RP about and invite them to it. Eventually a number of those people turn into friends whom I get to know something about regarding style, preferences, and general personality, and then I might randomly page those people for RP. Given the process though it isn't really random-random.
Some of ya'll know who I'm talking about because you are those people.

I totally do not think it could have been KD. The players and staff there (there are two of them) are the most helpful, friendly bunch ever. My mind has been blown, seriously. It's probably been one of my best new-to-a-game experiences, right up there with Leading Edge, Redemption, and Second Pass.

Alright, I'm playing Adrian on SHH and soon (?) Daniel "Thugbear" on Eldritch. I'm usually available for scenes between 20:00 and midnight EST.

I will second this. Every time I've gone to, or back to, KD the players have been incredibly friendly. Might have been Custodius / Zephyr's Kushiel game.

It was several years ago now. It's made it hard for me to want to even try a Kushiel game again. Might have been called Kushiel's Legacy or Rose or something a kin to that. I don't remember now But there was a hardcore clique where it was impossible to get involved in anything. I couldn't even get help to finish CG or anything. Ya'll seem pretty cool so I /might/ attempt to try a Kushiel game again. Maybe.
-
Someone, what is Kushiel?
-
A lords and ladies game with BDSM, sacred prostitution and very low supernatural content. Courtesans are basically priestesses in the setting. Alternate-rennaisance based in France / Europe.
Funny enough, Kushiel games are where I started RPing, all those many years ago. The very first such game was home to one nasty clique, as I recall.
-
Now I kind of want to play this...
-
@Sundown Do you recall what it was called? That is probably the one I tried out.
-
Kushiel MUX was the first game, the head staffer was Metatron (poor dude, I want to apologize to him for all the mess that happened on that game), and the nasty clique was led by Athenais? I think. The game had an awesome coder who built a tesseract house and had the weirdest stories. I also had a secret passage that she built me in my mansion, it was so cool.
Then a bunch of us total green newbs went on to make Terre d'Ange, which had a much more pleasant atmosphere but was floundering 'cause we had no idea how to run a game or even a plot. Mind you, for most of us it was our second game ever.
Then after that there was a bunch of other Kushiel games but I never knew anything about them, I'd gone off to play Serenity MUSH (oh god).
Edit: the first Kushiel game was around 10 years ago.
