I am constantly surprised at the antagonism that bisexuals get. Here is someone who is more open to physical encounters than most people. What the tribalism fuck is going on that this is a bad thing.

There's a lot of perception that people who are bi are selfish, are more likely to cheat (because somehow being attracted to more people gives you fewer morals? I dunno; I don't get it)...

...and then there's the whole 'just pick a side.' Men get that more than women, tho. Like, there's the whole 'gold star' thing where there's lesbians who refuse to be with a woman who has ever been with a man, but a lot of bi guys I've met have told me about how the gay community has this whole perception of them being 'too scared' to just choose to be gay and then it becomes a bullying thing.

Then the worst one, IMO: that people who are bi aren't 'really' queer because we can 'pass as straight.'

It super sucks to get shit on from both sides, as it were. Straight people give you shit because you're 'selfish' or 'you're just a cheater!' and the gay community gives you shit because you're gross for sometimes being in hetero relationships or because you can 'pass.'
