...am I the only one watching Emergence? It is non-awful thus far. A bit fluff, but it's damned good to see a heroine who is not a cover model and not skinny and is competent as hell, and there's a lot more positives in that vein where that comes from. For that alone I'd give it all the thumbs up, but it's pretty neat. Not over the top sci-fi. Worth a binge if it ever turns up somewhere for such purposes; I was quite pleasantly surprised.

I've enjoyed it for the casting. I really love Jo, for your reasons and more and I've always been a Clancy Brown fan, even when he's not the main event. The story is definitely interesting in an 'entertainment junkfood' sort of way. Curious to see if they can keep the story interesting.

@Jaded I loved the first one. I do not want them to make a second if it is not comparable in quality. So I am biding my time here.

I've been watching 'The Man in the High Castle' based on the recommendation of a friend. I expected to not like it particularly much despite my liking for the source novel. I'm not really sure why, I guess I just didn't expect it to lend itself well to some television interpretation, but I'm blown away at how much I'm enjoying this series.
It's totally the characters. I've really been drawn in by how well-written and ably-portrayed they are.

I have a weakness for trashy reality shows.
The Boulet Brothers' Dragula is everything I didn't know I wanted. Radical self-expression through horror, filth and glamour? Bringing a real, visceral darkness to the scene? Sign me the fuck up.

Stumptown. It's pretty good! And who the hell knew Maria Hill/the chick from How I Met Your Mother could act? As it turns out, she damn well can.
