@Ghost Deadwood is absolutely magnificent television. Between Ian McShane and Garrett Dillahunt (the latter of which plays TWO different rolls on the show, each one distinct) it's a great example of character acting at its finest.

Is anyone else inspired to start watching America's Got Talent just because Terry Crews is the host now?

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed watching the Hulu 'Catch-22' limited series, and also by how much of the book I have managed to forget over the years.

Graham Norton is such a lovely interviewer.

I'm in the States, so I DVR his shows. I build this backlog that I might not touch for weeks, and then suddenly get the wild hair to watch an episode. Every single time I'm floored with just how conversationally wonderful his programs are.

USA needs more "shared couch conversation" interview shows, or better yet, Graham needs to enter the US nighttime talk show competition.

I've been brushing up on my conversational Mandarin and there's no better way to do that than binging dramas on Line TV, naturally. This hilarious line from History 3: Trapped nearly caused a spit-take, just considering the recent wave of apologies lately, from government officials and just in general.

If you like that kind of casual interaction in an interview show you might check out the Hot Ones, done by First We Feast on Youtube.

The Doom Patrol season finale was everything I needed it to be.

Oh my fucking god what a ridiculously amazing show.

Is it good? I stopped around the start of season 2, it had gotten a bit too procedural for me.

The guy I worked with on weekends (yesterday was our last day working together) recently finished binge watching that show. He is... young and so very much a BRO, but it was sort of fun watching him get SO INTO IT and SO UPSET at times over the romantic interest.

...but also it'd get us talking about theology sometimes and that was fun, too, just watching his mind expand as he'd piece things together when I'd discuss biblical references and he'd go '...yeah, yeah...YEAH! OKAY! I GET THAT NOW.'

It starts to get really interesting in Season 2, in my opinion. The characters have a bit more character to them, if that makes sense. The writers are unafraid to wander into the absurd, as comic books go, so there is as much laughing as nail-biting.

My partner really isn't into comic book movies but she is obsessed with Tom Ellis and his misadventures. And I could really watch Lauren German all night long.

Does Lucifer have Mazikeen in it, and if so, how does she deal with the whole half-rotting-face-mushy-garbled-speech thing?

They don't. It's probably a good thing as well. I didn't read many of the comics, but I can tell you that Mazikeen is part of the entertainment factor of the series.

Before now I didn't even know Lucifer was based on a comic. I thought it was just yet another procedural with a random twist.

I got the feeling going past season 2 that the writers started actually making the procedural aspects as its own kind of character, in the way that it helped develop other characters.

I was apprehensive about the show getting picked up by Netflix but after watching all of it, I thought the entire season was pretty great - you can tell the writers had a lot more creative flexibility than they did working at Fox.
