Good TV

I tried starting off October Faction twice and it wasn't catching with me, though I can't pinpoint why. I will doubtless try again once done with Sabrina, though. I know I'll get through it eventually, since even if it's just 'running in the background while I do something else', it's exactly the sort of show I normally go for, and I haven't seen it yet.

I want to be Hilda Spellman when I grow up.
That is all.

Arrow is over and whatever your thoughts on it, it gave us Crisis on Infinite Earths on television and for that I will be forever grateful.
Also the last episode was pretty sweet.
-
I kind of want to watch it, but I've never gotten into (most of) the CW stuff and everything everyone says about Arrow makes me hesitant to attempt slogging through it.
That said, even just from seeing trailers/ads, I was really impressed that they made a comics-accurate looking Monitor on television, of all things, and actually worked in more else-verse material in than the original had (making this a bit like CoIE + Multiversity).
-
I got pretty deep into Supergirl and thought it was a hoot. The Flash was good for the first half of the first season before I got distracted. Couldn't get into Arrow, though, it seemed like it was trying to be gritty or something and it was kind of boring to me.

A friend has got me started down the DragonBall Z path. God help me.
(I'm enjoying it, but have a loooooooong way to go. It's like running the Snake Way.)
-
@Ghost There's guides online to skip the filler episodes. Somewhere.

You should just watch DBZ Abridged. It's better than both normal and Kai.
Because it's parody and hilarious.
-
Trust me after 4 episodes detailing goku's run down some 700 miles of Snake Way across months worth of it, I totally get why there is an abridged version.
Alas, i masochist out of solidarity for my poor friend having to listen to Minmei's yowling.

@Coin Hellsing Abridged is the winner, though. It just is.

Nope. Sorry. I mean, it's by the same guys. But I prefer DBZ Abridged.

@Coin I could never do Dragonball in any form. Their Hellsing is just... ohgod.
Plus you get to see people (and non-people) blow holes in Nazis. Always a bonus.

@surreality Yanno, every time I see the word Nazi, I hear Brad Pitt.
"GNAT-SEES"
Thanks Quentin Tarantino.
Second thought: Kinda feel like calling them "gnat-sees" takes a little of that power away from them.
"I am a proud member of the Knot-see-"
"Whatever, Gnat-see"
"Uhm, I believe it's pronounced knot-"
"Oh dont you feed me that Samhain is saaaaw-when crap you anti semite 1940s larper."(ETA: retroactive sidebar notice)

I am super reluctant to call it GOOD TV, but... I am maybe kinda loving Legacies for fun fluff.
The first season was more or less serious. The second is... dramatically less so, and it's starting to veer well into Legends of Tomorrow territory. (It kinda followed that same trajectory.) This was a smart move.
I guess what I'm saying here is that any show with a Santa vs. Krampus wire-fu smackdown in it is probably worth a peek. (Maybe just wait until the second season hits Netflix, as it is much more entertaining than the first, which was fairly 'eh', but is needed for context.)

I am sitting here staring at the clock waiting on Bojack.
