Good TV

I like Daredevil and Agent Carter well enough, and Flash and Arrow. I think what these shows have in common is that the parent company doesn't meddle with them very much, so they can just kind of be TV shows. Whereas Marvel clearly micro-manages everything on SHIELD.
Ugh, Gotham.

@Three-Eyed-Crow I think it's partially because of the properties they're directly tied to. Marvel is eyeing that Avengers franchise like the cash cow that it is, but Arrow and Flash barely have any ties to DC's movie universe (and its $$$) at all.
Agreed though. Either trust your writers to run a good series or don't.

Gotham is good. You just have to look at it as a reboot/retool of the Batman mythos and origin point, not nitpick it with comic comparisons. -

Everyone who is someone is so incredibly spot on who they're supposed to be (Dent, Cat, Gordon, etc). And seing kid Bruce Wayne as some borderline autistic savant with virtually no social skills outside of cause and effect (which is not at all like adult Bruce Wayne but absolutely like adult Batman), all of them are pretty much exactly perfect from where I'm sitting.

I think Penguin is by far my most stand-out favorite character in that show, really. The actor does a good job. -
Yeah, I can't believe I didn't mention Penguin. Dude is awesome.

I know zombie is overdone and such right now, but iZombie is actually a cute little show. I'm enjoying it, at least.

iZombie really is cute, and for me, an amusing/entertaining twist on the dominating tv theme of "OMG COP SHOWS" and also on the theme of zombies. They basically took Zombies and made them like the uberpopular vampire theme. Olivia (the main character) definitely disappointed me last episode. Stupid, stupid girl.

I am a massive mark for Agents of SHIELD. Yes, the first 2/3 of S1 dragged and were a bit dull and inconsistent. But it is legit awesome now, and the finale was almost as satisfying as Age of Ultron.
However, a show I simply cannot recommend enough is Penny Dreadful

This is the sort of plot that would probably be shot down by staff on most MUs.

YES. It is fairly philosophical post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi with a lot of bleakness and a lot of guts, especially for a CW show. It does not shy away from hard character choices, and it also has an amazingly diverse cast, gender wise, with a super kickass lead and also it makes me think of Fallout.

It looks... actually pretty decent. Smallville-esque with more superheroics right off the bat. Plus I'm now pausing the video to identify the aliens/villains shown on the screen in it.
