Accounting is an arcane science, but it was one that was unable to prevent Worldcom or Madoff. Those who seek to reap profit in the short term despite the long term damage will do so. Legislating around that, or attempting to do so, is a bandage on a gaping wound.

Anyhow, as I said, there are ways to make money that do not comply with or run contrary to accounting principles. Some don’t even make sense. But I don’t think all of them will carry long term harm.

“It is better to live doing the things that you like. It is foolish to live within this dream of a world seeing unpleasantness and doing only things that you do not like.” -- Yamamoto Tsunetomo.

Tomato harvest time. My tomatos grew so many and good, been making sauce and giving away veggies cause too much to eat! Its just a portion, my backyard is like a crazy food forest and neighbors been eating out of it too with my permission of course. There are some other stuff in the pictures, like brussel sprouts and squash and peppers, was growing lots of things. Most of the tomatos are heirlooms too.

The best thing is I got this great soil that I worked hard on - but I got so busy and my plants thrived without much attention.

Now I am composting the old plants so that next year, I have the bestest soil and I am seed saving and should be able to garden for basically free. So excited at how it all went. I am like an expert tomato farmer.

I cannot stand actual tomatoes... but I adore the smell of the tomato plant.

            You know what I mean.

            So envious.

But too much work to have the smell of a slimy thing I shall not eat. 😞

A stupid thing I'd like to note.

I have 8 million Shuba Inu coins. I've had them since May.

It was around .000000015 of cent on crypto.com. But since last night it's jumped in value by 50%.

It's not smart to invest your future in crypto. But, if this coin takes off to even half a cent value, a have a very large profit to gain.

But it won't, and I know better. Still, it's nice to imagine cashing out and telling the rest of the world to go get kick ricks and go hide with an obscene amount of money(obscene amount for me, anyway).

I, too, am riding the meme currency train. I treated it not as an investment, but more like gambling. I am in it with the mentality that I expect to lose the entire initial buy, but it's fun to dream.

Today is Fat Bear Tuesday -- the last day to vote in Fat Bear Week, celebrating the survival, success, and overall adorable rolls of pure chonk of the brown bears at Katmai National Park.

@tinuviel I mean, if you really want to take on a 1,000 pound brown bear, go for it! They could use the calories before hibernation.

@kk I am so, so incredibly jealous. Roasted tomato pesto, tomato sauce, tomato sammiches, sliced tomatoes with salt (and mayo if that's your thing), the little bitties for snacking on when you go in the kitchen so you don't eat junk...

I may happen to love tomatoes. A lot.

@macha If you're going the sliced with salt route, might I suggest also slicing up a small cuke to go with it? The acids from the tomatoes do AMAZING things to cuke with salt.

Decided to do some self care after shitty work day.

                                      Nose strip - Satisfying.
Heating charcoal mask - All right.
Long hot shower with a moisturizing hair mask - ahhh
Body oil right out of the shower, and having super soft skin - HELL YES.

@tinuviel I leave the feet out of it. Because with my luck, it would be more like "Slip on tile, try to catch self, rip towel bar out of the wall, hit head on bathtub, die from head trauma"

..with the added indignity of being naked and chubby.
