@VulgarKitten Toronto is the cat's pajamas. Especially in the summer.
I love large cities. I'm not one of the people who mind crowds, and there's so much stuff to do. You're never limited by what's available
Which reminds me I gotta book a ticket for FanExpo 2015. Woo-hoo, the stench of geeks everywhere around me! Literally!

is prepping for Spooky Empire's Halloween con in Orlando Last time there was Tom Savini and Bill Moseley... this year, there is original Fright Night cast reunion AND RHPS cast reunion. And George Romero is a staple there. Every year. God I love getting to talk to all the people I have watched so many times. still clings to her Moseley and Savini autographed pictures Malcolm McDowell, Tony Todd, Neve Campbell, Julian Sands, Skeet Ulrich, the creepy dead twins from The Shining... its shaping up to be an EXCELLENT con this year.

I feel like after a few weeks of struggling with motivation and being able to focus to study, I've managed to ignite atleast some interest in the subject I am meant to study again. In this spesific case, got an exam the 20th.
Current thing that actually got me intrested, reading about the political evolution of the nordic countries between the World Wars, and why they maintained a parlamentary system and democracy during a period where a great deal of the European countries who took it up reverted to dictatorships after WWI.

That being a grownup means when I have a really, really bad day...I can have ice cream for lunch, and nobody can stop me. HA.

Fallout Shelter is now available for Android!

In a few hours I will finally be free for the summer! FREE! No more waking up before noon. No more 1.5-2hr transits on the bus back and forth. No more having to go anywhere but my air conditioned bedroom.
I plan to sleep all day tomorrow.

OMG... so much envy. That sounds amazing.

Eating ice cream in a bubble bath: the thing your parents would never let you do there's actually no good reason not to do (provided you have plastic bowls and/or don't drop all the things ever), and a million good reasons to do you discover the moment you do it. It's like the official cure for a bad day.
Happy good thing: OMG I finally tweaked that stupid wiki code bit that was driving me bonkers. There's always that onnnnnnnnnne thing that is just crazy-making, and once it's hammered into sense, everything suddenly seems to go so much better.

@Cobaltasaurus Ditto that. My last class ends in 3 hours!

@surreality It SO is! I went last year and it was just fucking AMAZING. I got to sit and chat with Bill Moseley for like, 15 minutes!! Got to find out his inspiration for Otis AND for George Buckman (he reprised Robert Englund's role for the sequel to 2001 Maniacs). Got to chat with Tom Savini for a good ten minutes too, asked him about Dusk Til Dawn, Machete, Planet Terror... and basically what its like as a Man of Many Hats. Two of the judges from Face Off were there, AND I talked to Brandon Quintin Adams (The People Under The Stairs, The Mighty Ducks). Got to meet GEORGE FUCKING ROMERO. AND KANE FUCKING HODDER. He signed my Camp Crystal Lake tanktop. Its my most prized possession. Got to meet Doug Bradley (Pinhead of Hellraiser fame), which was seriously cool.
All in all, its a REALLY fun time between the people, the exhibits, the panels... just so amazing. And everyone is totally chill and cool.

The Golden Horseshoe as a whole is the cat's negligee. I like Toronto as much as the next person, but there's so much more.

What drives me bonkers is we're road-tripping to FL in a few months -- but the odds of it overlapping the time the con is happening are roughly nil. (I need to schedule this stuff better!)

Around when and where will you be in FL? Feel free to Chat me if you don't want to spread it far and wide. I can tell you if you'll be in the area when you're down here. Admittance is $30 prepaid, $35 at the gate.
