So yesterday, there was a thing that made me happy alllllll damned day. And I figured we could maybe share all the little things that we do, get, see, etc in the day to day that gives up a little bit of happy.
So, here is yesterday's. He needs a tie.

@reimesu Oh he WAS. SO MUCH EXCITE. He's not a fan of the car ride, though he did better on the way home than to work. But then he got here, and got to meet some new people, made new friends. Then he got home, and told my roommate alllllllll about it. And he slept HARD early. hahahaha He's such an adorable doof.

When people are messaging you, asking you if the characters on a game similar to what you used to play, with the rarely seen names you used... are you.

I get to see the Eclipse in Totality today, and I got to work from home because tourists were coming. Win Win Win, because the dog is thrilled I'm home.

So today is Administrative Professionals Day. I got an email from the rep I work for, being silly and telling me he appreciates me. I got a little thank you note, a snack bag of candy, and a Certificate for being good at my job.
And it just so happened that the union retirees meeting I helped set up and get things ready for, was meeting today. I got a delicious big plate full of Italian food. And Cake.

When the Rep. you've been giving all the admin support to, finally gets a client moved to another lawyer after having proof she was being abusive towards him, then has a disciplinary type meeting that's a shakedown (difficult client is dating a big wig in the org), comes out on top.
Calls you first.. and then tells you he's going to grab lunch, and will get you your current favorite if they've got any left.
This man is so wholesome, he really does make me have a little more faith in humanity.

So my rep was heading out at about 11 to go get his usual breakfast sandwich. The man comes back, and puts two containers down in front of me.. the cheeseburgers the little mom and pop down the road make are really good and he knows I like them.. so he bought me 2 of them for no reason.. just because he knows I like them.
I am not sure I have ever been treated so well.. I am not his equal in the company structure. I am admin support. But he appreciates the things I do, and shows me. Add in the fact the man and I talk comics, pop culture, fan fiction, current things going on.. yeah. This dude rocks.

It is amazing how it can change a work place and the day to day grind when you have people who care.
Even if they screw up and make mistakes once in awhile, it's these actions which can drastically change a job.

When your friend's new project takes off and you can't help but be so happy to see everyone else admiring the work they put in.
There's a word for it, finding joy in others' happiness, but it is Sunday and I am too lazy to look it up.
