Thanks for sympathizing with my pain- I've decided I'm just going to be the best Ottavio I can be, and pretend that he's just tripping balls for this particular production.

This guy is very much a Regietheater director, and Regietheater- like the flu and other afflictions- has to be endured until it passes. However, I now know to not audition for any productions where he will be the stage director...

And if he asks me to do something like masturbate onstage while singing il Mio Tesoro or something like that (this has happened to a colleague of mine with 'Regietheater' directors) he's going to be a very, very sad panda.

I'm annoyed that Netflix has decided to police the use of proxies and VPNs, as though they'd learned nothing from how the RIAA handled file-sharing.

I pay for Netflix. What skin is off their nose if I want to access their content from Australia or wherever? It isn't even illegal to do so in my country.

Just... turn a blind eye, Netflix. No one who matters (read: Your Customers) will care.

It's no skin off their nose, they were forced to do it by the content creators. If Netflix could they'd be offering 100% of everything they have to every market, they only stand to lose from making things less available.

Most of the VPNs offering Netflix-specific IP spoofing services already figured workarounds for this stuff anyway.

I mentioned to a coworker that I was replaying the half life series and really enjoying it. He said disdainfully that he wasn't impressed with the story and that he felt it lacked depth and didn't have an interesting enough story behind it.

I asked him what kind of games he liked.

In his defense Street Fighter like most fighting games has a great backstory, it is just that for the most part you get none of that during the play experience.

Do you have a parent or grandparent who watches TV? Are you thinking of buying them a new TV as a gift? Will that TV have more computing power than what was used to send people to space? If you answered yes to two or more of these questions stop fucking buying smart tvs for old people!

And if you still have to buy them a TV, leave them a manual and make sure you go through the instructions with them. Leave them notes. A TV is like a baby, you don't just drop it off and forget about it.
