@sahin your mental health is worth way more than any specific college route you have planned out. You're doing a responsible and adult thing.
Quoting for truth. Your brain is a piece of meat like every other part of your body, so its breakdowns are as valid as when your heart or liver or whatever other bit of your body calls in sick, and it deserves just as much consideration. I hope one day we will stop calling it "mental" health as if it's a less worthy form of health than the rest of the body is.

People having babies who shouldn't have babies (Drug use, other children already removed from custody, abusers...) popping out babies repeatedly and people like me who want to have a biological child can't.
It's just.... it makes me so angry.

Waiting a month to be contacted by a specialist about what should be a fairly straightforward medical referral; contacting them to check in on the hold-up; finding out I'm on a one year waiting list.
I'm glad my country offers free healthcare but it's kind of also a gigantic lie.

Needing to get a doctor's med accommodation to not wear the shitty headset my work sent me. They refuse to furnish me anything but a truly shitty Microsoft headset that I can not wear. I put it on to test it when I got it yesterday, and despite trying to adjust it for several minutes, without my glasses on, it gave me a headache from the pressure.
They have furnished NOTHING for my WFH set up. I had to buy a new laptop, etc etc etc. I will NOT go buy another gaming headset so I have something that I can wear without sending pain around my skull and down into my neck, NOR can I afford to, on what they pay me. With the two auto immunes that both flare when I'm in other pain unrelated... yeah. I can't be doing that nonsense.

You should check out a country where you have to pay for care and still get on a wait list to be seen if you don’t have the right insurer.

@ganymede Or can't get seen at all. Try finding any mental health provider after moving. No one, and I mean NO ONE, is "accepting new patients" regardless of insurance. Add to that I have none, and I've been off my meds for a month now.

If you're in the United States, nobody is accepting new patients because the entire country is currently in a state of clinical anxiety.
But god, that sucks. I hope you find someone who can at least do a med consult.

My Rheumatologist has finally not come through on something (It's been 3 years, and he's been on a pedestal.).
He won't write the accommodation. Because he feels that it can't be proven that pain in my head and neck, tenses the muscles and will affect the issue with the auto immune in my spine?
Here's hoping my PCP isn't a twat.

All the text messages I'm receiving today from six-digit phone numbers warning me that a bank I don't do business with is freezing my card. What card? Unclear! But I better call them right now with all my personal details ready to clear up this misunderstanding!

I'm not so much angry as just.... I don't know.
I am angry.
I also feel a little bit betrayed?
But maybe just resigned.
And a little (?) like maybe I should understand even though I don't really.
We are losing a key person in our building because they won't take the vaccine and my district has a mandate.
This person is the whole world to several of our students. Like, they know EVERYTHING about the kid. But now this person is going to be gone and thanks to rules we can't tell the kid why that person is going to be gone.
I don't want this person to go - even if they aren't vaccinated... but if they aren't vaccinated are they physically safe?
I'm so lost.

I'd probably be of no help on this one. I think that we should have a nationwide vaccine mandate. Get the NRA people involved. Let them drive around with tranq guns full of COVID vaccine. Whatever.
But given recent RL evens I am probably biased. And angry.

If they can't because of medical reasons, I understand.
If they won't because they are selfish, I understand that too.
On a similar note, the Nets effectively just kicked Kyrie Irving off their team for the same reason.

The number of times I have now been asked, "Was he vaccinated?" and then got a knowing "ohhhhhhhhh" after is DISGUSTING, leaving me to either explain the gory details of why I know it wasn't that, or letting them think that my partner's death helps justify them continuing to put everyone else at risk.

Three of my son's school friends today told him they will no longer be his friend because he doesn't believe in God, and when he went to his teacher for help and explained the situation, she refused to intervene and said that it's their choice and that it's okay. Cool. Cool cool cool.
