Being on the right antidepressant for me has served, in part, to highlight just how bad my anxiety disorder really is.

For a long time, it got chalked up to 'part' of my depression. So I kept being told 'Oh, once you find the right antidepressant, you'll be less anxious!'

Oh, no. No no no. When I'm not anxious? I feel pretty great. Calm. Content. Happier with myself than I've been in memory.

But oh the anxiety. On the one hand- now I know? On the other... fuuuuuuuuuck.

Saying the quiet parts out loud since 1996.

But she's definitely been made worse. In some of the comics, she has had arcs (here and there; they can be rare) with real, actual depth. Some of the justifications for her Suicide Squad costumes... 'We want to show that she's owning her sexuality.' I mean, OK. I kind of get that? But at the same time... Not many women (if any) are gonna go to the theater and think 'girl power' with those outfits. They're going to sigh about yet more fanservice.

This especially stands out in memory. Hate the outfit, but otherwise...

The Injustice book is so weird. On the one hand, it has some of the most touching storylines for some characters (like Harley, above) and also the plotting is pretty tightly written because they're one-year arcs, no exceptions; on the other hand, they are so hamfisted in so much of it, it's crazy.

When I'm working and in the groove and then the system at work just fails to load. Thanks. -_-

If it helps to communicate my opinion, I also despised Juno and I Heart Huckabees. And The Gilmore Girls. Hamfisted dialogue makes me want to fist ham.

I find it really annoying when people make a point to judge works of fiction or art based on how well it conforms to their political ideology. Examples might include hating on comic books because the illustrations of women are "oversexualized" or finding that anything which has a non-lolbertarian perspective amounts to worthless communist propaganda.

Similarly, I actually don't like most propaganda pieces of our era. Things like American Sniper and the Ghostbusters remake elicit eyerolls not just because they're political propaganda, but because so many people are emotionally invested in them not being regarded as political propaganda.

I think our culture is too politicized, and we're too concerned with what other people think and not concerned enough with if their thoughts are sane or are even presented well.

...yup, looks like I made the right call about restrictive create-a-login and guest foo. πŸ˜•

Gettin' awful tired of people complaining that we can't have nice things, and then so amply proving why this is so.

                    Oh fucking well.

Yeah, it's a bummer, surr. πŸ˜• And I did like Harley in Injustice (costume aside, barf), B:TAS, and her solo run pre-N52 and stuff. I - only saw the first bit of her solo run.

Anyway, I hate the dog days of summer. Toooo hot.

Hi doctor, it was sure nice to talk to you for the minute of attention you gave me, including the 3 times you tried to leave and I had to call you back. Also thanks for calling me a liar. I appreciate it.

Clearly I'm a drug seeker. Give me ALL the antibiotics!

And this is why drugs should be unregulated and legalized. I don't need to pay $300 to the gatekeeper so I can get antibiotics.

Oh I have the antibiotics, the previous doctor who knows what's been going on gave me 2 refills, but I was worried about Thrush because my throat was sore and it happened before.

I hate that my step-dad is very sick with various issues and my mom won't change how she is to make sure he can get what he needs, mainly a kidney transplant he can't have because she can't be relied on to give him his meds on time, etc.

My partner just got back from a day-long ride and left his motorcycle in front of the house with the key in--a bad idea, but he had just ridden 700 miles and wanted to come in and use his own bathroom right away. A few minutes later, I heard the bike revving, looked out, and saw some lowlife scumbag sitting on it after having started it and revving the engine. (It's a BMW sport bike.)

I'm glad my pants didn't fall down when I ran outside, grabbed the clown's shirt, and started yelling for him to get the fuck off the bike, and I"m also glad that I barely maintained enough sense to take my hands off him once he did. I'm sure I didn't endear myself to our new neighbors (I just bought this house in a charming 1920s cul-de-sac) by screaming at the guy as he backed away down the street, especially when about every third word I yelled was "motherfucker."

Yikes! Am glad you were able to get the dick off of your partner's bike and didn't get hurt in the process!

@BetterJudgment Why do people not understand one doesn't touch other people's stuff, and especially that one does not sit on someone else's motorcycle without permission? Truefax: sitting on someone's bike without their permission can get you extra beaten up if it's the wrong person.
