Been a new "trend" at my University recently on the party scene where there are a group of guys are going around forcing other men into making out with/kissing them. People call it something which would translate as "forceout" and find it hilarious and/or just accept it and it bothers me a little.
-
@olsson Yea, I mean it's sexual assault. It weirdly feels like an escalation to describe something accurately, but I mean, by definition it is.

Wow, yeah, that bothers me a lot. As @Apos said, that is indeed sexual assault.

While I completely understand not wanting any spoilers about major upcoming movies, especially in a trailer...
... but seriously people? You think they are going to put out a freakin' Justice League live-action movie and not put Superman in it? That's not a spoiler, that's the most obvious thing ever.
-
After the last one, we could always hope.
-
@thenomain I'd be fine if they just made another Wonder Woman movie with some cameos from Jason Momoa and called it "Justice League."

Let's just give Momoa his own movie and cameos in Wonder Woman's set of movies, yes.
-
@arkandel
They are probably trying not to spoil the thing, since there is a Superman toy for Justice League in his black Death of Superman comic outfit. -
The only thing that could save the Justice League movie for me...
Remove Batfleck. Remove Cavill's dark and broody murderous superman. Let Cyborg experience emotions. Make the Flash's lightning /yellow/ and not fucking blue.
Or make it an Aquaman (Momoa) & Wonder-Woman team up movie.
-
@lithium I'm going to see it, and while I'm in the movie, I'm going to be silently hoping for a flash of emerald light near the end so that I can have a quick preview of what's to come for the Green Lantern Corps movie.
-
@ghost I'm going to see it too, cuz... I'd go straight for Jason Momoa... if I was being 100% honest.
-
-
@ganymede +1 for Batfleck.
I think, when you play Batman, the strength of the Batman is in your Bruce Wayne.
- Keaton was a GREAT Bruce
- Kilmer and Clooney were meh Bruces
- Bale was a great Batman, but his Wayne wasn't the greatest IMO. Perhaps it was because I kept seeing Patrick Bateman
Ben Affleck is a really great Bruce Wayne. He really identifies well with the character and the way he channels that vein of corporate loneliness.
-
He's no Christian Bale, but Batfleck was perfectly fine with me. Infinitely better than I expected, going into BvS.
Cavill is weird to me. I don't think he's bad for the role....I just think I really, really, really fucking hate Superman as a character in a movie. He just...does not fit, to me. Something about Superman just seems ill-suited to a "realistic" representation, in my mind. He belongs in cartoons.
-
@ganymede To be absolutely fair, I blame Snyder for all of this too. Performance wise, I actually didn't mind Affleck as Batman/Bruce as much as I initially thought, but I /did/ mind that horribly boring movie that even Wonder Woman couldn't really save at the end.
That's why I prefaced the murderous edgy brooding Super Man. Cavill can probably do a /fine/ Superman, I just hate the direction Snyder went with it, and I /hate/ that it was Lex Luthor who discovered the rest of the League over Batman/Bruce himself.
Is Affleck my favorite Batman? Not by a long shot, but any positives I gleaned out of his performance was completely and horribly overshadowed by the track wreck of a story that was BvS.
All just my opinion.

Kevin Conroy = Best Batman.
FITE ME.

@cupcake That's a hill worth dying on. I'm not going to fight you on that at all.

The universe is mocking me.
Got a job offer. It's below what I want to make (by a fair bit), but still more than I'm making now.
...bus doesn't run remotely anywhere near the office location and it's def. too far out to consider bike.
On the other hand, I did get an email from a much more interesting job I'd applied for that they want to setup an interview. So fingers hella crossed on that one (it'd be out of customer support).
